Well, the hand plays itself on the turn. Kind of. Not like you can fold. Flop is where the real discussion is at imo

Y would u bet that flop. All you have is a lousy middle pair and a flush draw. Which is nothing Just c/c

lolwtf he literally is a favorite against any hand other than a set. BB's raise on the flop heavily weighs his range towards a set (and precisely KKxx) which makes things problematic for us though.

I like your line.
If the 3 of diamonds hitted the turn, what would you do? I would consider shoving flop since we are OOP. But since BB is a reg, his range is really strong here. Tricky but I continue prefering shoving flop, considering that we got only a pot size bet on turn.

bb´s range is prob literally KKxx, i guess we do have direct odds to call or pick up needed backdoor equity for 33% ott, but i wouldn´t fault op for making a highly exploitable fold, but never shoving with our ~35% equity and no FE

If the 3d hits the turn, we have to check fold

Folding the flop is not TOO ridiculous..depends how much he has K8. He has KK so much. We have some of the best nut back doors though (see turn card) so calling is good. If we didnt have the backdoor hearts maybe a fold. Very close.

Shoving flop would be awful, its call or fold

Dont be results oriented, shove flop, collect monies 80%+ of the time.

seing a flop is bad for villains range, he might fold some turns and he is never folding flop.

its plo10 his range is also any pair+fd // K2 // AA

yes... even for a reg, because he knows hero can aggro with any fd. we also dont have position which lowers our chance to get max value on turn and river if we dont shove flop over him.

Barto do you play a lot of PLO10? Because I can assure you that a PLO10 player with villains stats raise range on that flop is not any pair+fd/K2/AA lol.

Love the comments advocating the 4 bet shove on the flop, getting no FE whatsoever. Naked nut FD (ok, we have a pair of 8s, but not sure if trips are live outs, much less two pairs), and we go allin with the sort of action? Really?

BTW, a flush draw is NOT 2 to 1 against a set, once you take into account lock-outs and redraws, plus if you take rake into account (nominally 5%, 7.5% on the micro tables, but in reality 10/15% of the winnings in a HU pot), allin on the flop is losing play without very specific reads.

As played, you have no option but to close your eyes and get in in first on the turn, with a double FD and a gutshot.
