HUPLO 100 River play

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
PL Omaha $1(BB) Replayer
Hero ($152)
($158)

Dealt to Hero 3 6 3 6

raises to $3, Hero calls $2

FLOP ($6) 3 6 A

Hero checks, bets $6, Hero raises to $21, calls $15

TURN ($48) 3 6 A J

Hero bets $39, calls $39

RIVER ($126) 3 6 A J T

Hero checks, bets $95.25 (AI), Hero calls $89 (AI)

Im new to hu plo and getting many guess spots... correct me if im wrong.

Villain is playing 70% from button (not reg), his sizing of pot bet usually means strong hand. After his flop c/r calling I put him alot on nut flash draw, 2p+. On turn I expect him to jam higher sets, but continue calling with his strong draws.
On river I can only justify my call by the fact that only 1 backdoor straightdraw is complete. So I expect myself to be right here most of the time.

Thoughts? Do u agree with my overall hand describing?

Wp overall I think. I bet a little bit more on the turn. River you can continue betting for value or c/c, depending on villain. I.e. More passive villains will still call a river bet with two pair and or two pair and blockers etc but wont bet them when checked to.

yeah thats what I think...really villain dependant..so its hard to say for sure what is more profitable bet or check.

3b pre all day

rest seems wp, river is interesting and depends a bit on meta since this is a terrible card for him to bluff if he's decent. I shove river myself most of the time, but that's also a factor of my image.

In general, shoving here makes you a tougher opponent but cc can be insanely better agaisnt some retards

If he is a bit tilty or likes to make these kinds of plays then this very +ev. I like also shoving more in general.

Unless u have a good sample on villain I'm betting AI OTR myself. C/c seems really read dependent, especially in PLO

I like the check. Between the 2 missed flush draws and the fact that you can rep A6/A3 really well, I think checking will be more profitable overall then betting assuming you have no specific reads to the contrary. Another important aspect to this is that AJ/AT (the main hands you get value from by shoving) will jam for value themselves reasonably often thinking that you're might be planning to bluff catch with A3/A6.

Seems fine, you cant ever check fold, so checking to induce is ok vs some. But def losing value vs most by just checking and potentially getting chk back.

Re: HUPLO 100 River play

because of stack depth i dont like x/r flop, i like x/c and donk/3b much better, if u x/r ur still going to have to play 3 streets but yoru hands relateively faceup.

as played jam the river yourself, every draw missed and ur getting looked up by 2 pairs. hes really going to check back hhis non AJ/AT 2prs and hes unlikely to bet them for pot given u checked

woo-hoo u flopped a set hu?! question is how to get value from it. if hes barrely x/c-x/c-x/d gets a lot of money and protects v certain texture changed, if he likes getting alot of money in with draws halfpot donk-3bet commits him either on the flop or turn and ur getting the money in good. the point is w/ your hand u have very little room for improvement and given that u want to keep the pot small or get the money in asap, but x/r'ing at this stack depth steal leaves significant aciton to come on future streets.

given that u have 2 sets and he potted the flop which u say is strong hes porbably got a nfd type of hand so id x/c-x/c-near pot a non diamond sequence and get raedy to get looked up light.....or like 1/2-1/3pot river to induce and 3bet

Re: HUPLO 100 River play

Well he almost never has Aces, and we can remove some combinations of kings that he might 4 bet. It is very dependent on how villain plays preflop, but if villain is more likely to flat a 3 bet with kings or queens it's a tough river since a lot of diamond hands like KKxxdd or QQAxxdd etc hands get there. I think shoving is better than check calling since he might not shove his weaker two pair hands by the river, but he might hero call them. If you think by checking you'll induce a shove by missed diamonds with a straight combo draw than checking is probably better. If villain is more likely to get it in with a combo flush draw like most villains on the flop than the river is that much worse since its very likely he has a marginal flush draw with broadway cards. I c/f fold the river as played, and I would likely just jam river.
