Not a direct answer to your question but I do suggest watching some JNandez videos on Youtube (his bankroll challenge, especially the unedited streams). The amount of insight you get from him is great and he plays like a rock and prints $.
I like his approach of a lower variance route especially with how high variance PLO can be.
Edit: I also just realized you wrote HUPLO in your title. While Nandez plays 6-max I think it's less of a rake trap than what HUPLO would be at that low of a stake.
