On the turn, a x/c and x/r should be quite similar in EV, although a x/c makes more sense.
Your thought process seems a bit off in some places:
Are you really check-raising most two pair+ on this flop? Doesn't seem so good. I don't think most people would expect you to do that either, if they are thinking about what you would do, that is.
Basically every turn double barreling range in a SRP in position should consist of value bets and semibluffs, so I'm not sure why that is being described as "fairly polarized" -- seems like business as usual to me. [AJ+, the weakest draws] (instead of [lots of two-pair+, a variety of draws]) would be a different story, but the former range, which is in fact fairly polarized, is also quite odd, and you probably don't have reads to justify it. Either way, a x/c is patently better the more polarized villain's range is here, since you will have more equity against hands that fold and less against hands that continue.
Similarly, villain's bet size is within the range of bet sizes that are normal and standard here, and I wouldn't read into it very much. (Your raise to only $3 is actually the most suspicious-looking bet size of any in the hand
.)
