how many tables do you play?

Just curious how many tables you regs play online. Just wondering if anyone out there ever plays more than around 8 for really long periods.

This is one of those things I can never get. I can't play more than 4 without getting lost, and begin to play poorly. Anyone playing over 8 and still able to focus on every hand, I applaud

Re: how many tables do you play?

i normally play 6 for ~ 1 hour, then take a short break and continue for another hour with 4-5. do this 2-4 times a day. i only play marathon sessions if i feel good and sit deep with fish.

reducing the length of sessions and the amount of the tables i play has truly boosted my red line.

Re: how many tables do you play?

I used to play 8, but I was getting so bored of it, and having mixed (well just bad) results when I moved up. So I switched down to three and moved up again. Its been going really well so far, but no meaningful sample size as yet. Going to take a while to get one with just 3 tables I guess...

One zoom table. Good thing with zoom is you aren't forced to do difficult decisions in a real haste. When multitabling you can get a couple of difficult decisions at one time, which annoys at least me.

Re: how many tables do you play?

usually play only 5-8 because that's whats running but would like to play up to 12 if the action was there (will probably do so once I get on stars). I play pretty tight though and will play lower if I'm practicing something new with my HUD or looking to take notes/save hands for review later.

I think taking a quick break each hour is important- just enough to get up and walk around for a minute or 2 so you don't get kicked out of the table. Unless you have a good amount of caffeine in which case two hours is pretty decent.

Re: how many tables do you play?

Usually 4-5-6 depending on how many good tables there are. When moving up/playing tired/during a downswing/when trying new things I like to only do 2.

usually 8-12 but if more 25-100 deep tables are running and I'm playing good I'll play up to 18

Anything under 12 makes my brain turn to mush from how slow it is.

Usually between 12-16 depending on how tired I am.

Re: how many tables do you play?

Alas 4 5max = 2 HU = 2 fastfold tables are the limit of my ability now. I need AHK scripts to go beyond that and even then I won't be confident as misclick probability will increase.

According to the above equality, I think plaaynde shouldn't be afraid to add a second Zoom table.

Of course there's some probability of simultaneous difficult spots, that's why bb/100 winrates are lower for multitablers, but hourly winrates are bigger. No one should be ashamed of stalling in such spots, everyone has the right to multitable and use time banks. If someone fires 'zzzz' at you, tell a casual lie, e.g. someone called you on Skype, or your favourite team scored, or the poker client lagged (I was in such a spot today, of course I didn't tell to the table that the lag was caused by a HUD starting up - I was using it for the first time ).

I wonder how people play 6 tables on a consistent basis, it's wasting screen real estate, either play 4 on a laptop (HU/fastfold ideally) or learn to 9-table imho.
