Hi all,

Going to be learning PLO soon. RL stuff to deal with first.

Already have some study material and daily volume in mind. Probably gonna start at 5PL or 10PL.

Have researched rake and it seems microgaming or unibet are the lowest. Not sure once you consider party rb or other sites deposit bonuses.

Don't mind if I can't use a HUD but would prefer to be able to import past hands for reviewing and graphs etc. (if PLO sticks with me I'll be considering looking for a CPF or staking deal to move up, so stats would be needed)

Can you suggest the best site to start off on given the above?

Appreciate it,
Dublin.

I have been playing a ton on Party which is okay, they have PL4 then jump to PL10 however they do have fast forward PLO tables at PL5 but hardly ever run. I have started at PL2 and swapped over to Stars because there were not many tables running on Party..

Rake is harsh at Stars however it's THAT soft that it isn't really that noticeable..

It's only really when people are mass tabling and grinding out an 4bb/100 hand winrate where everyone is like OMFG look at all the rake i paids..

Software is way better on Stars than Party and Party has anonymous hand histories so you can view your own play but can't look at villains lines etc etc away from the tables unless you are a ninja note taker that is..

Just start off with like 2 tables..I have started just playing two tables and have just moved up to 4 tables after 6k hands... I definitely can't see me ever playing anymore than 6 well.. Whereas I used to just 24 table the NLHE..

Thanks redline.

I plan on 1 or 2 tabling for the first while. I want to learn PLO properly, unlike how I learned NLH.

I should have mentioned that I'd prefer to stay away from stars if possible.
So party jumps to the top of the list by default?

Just be aware that micro plo doesn't have the user base nlh does, I'd be checking out the activity on all the main providers prior to loading up, as on some sites tables barely run for certain timezones.

Party + the RB is probably the best option imo unless you plan on playing zoom or 2+ tables.

Yeah I would say if you dont want to play Stars Party is the next best option.. It's not so bad when you use Party Caption software..

IDK about PLO action on 888, they screwed me out of a deposit bonus years ago and I am never depositing on there again..

JNANDEZ is starting a bankroll challenge soon on youtube where he works through different sites and bonuses etc etc running up $500 to $10,000 playing PLO. Should be worth a watch : )

Unibet is a cool site;
"unfortunately" you wont have the possibilty to review hands via HEM2.
So if you are new to the game you should invest alot of time checking hands through HEM2 or similar. I suggest you go with Microgameing.
Traffic should be good enough on any site for the stakes you mentioned. Just go with a site which Software seems ok and which provides low rake or a good rakeback-deal.

Wasn't aware of this actually, cheers. Would have assumed micro PLO was pretty popular. Good to look out for though

Seen party caption mentioned all right. Would definitely be utilizing it if I end up there.
Hadn't thought of 888. Not a fan of them either, they limited my sports book acc to pennies 👎

This is awesome news. Used to watch his twitch when I was finishing up MTT sessions.
Getting to see how he beats each stake and which sites he thinks are best it the nuts.

Yeah, had planned on adding Unibet if I got to 25/50PLO.
Your point about being able to analyze hands (plus much more) when starting out is exactly how I think about it too.

MicroGaming defo a solid second on the list now

Appreciate all the input guys

Saw this in JNandez YouTube comments. Supposedly bb/100 rake for PLO with RB considered.

MPN moves up to first place if accurate.

HOLY ****!

Am sportsbooking up a bankroll on Ladbrokes at the minute from a fiver. I believe they are MPN. The added bonus with these is that if you get a Grid card you can withdraw money from any Ladborkes shop whenever you want : )

I have my doubts re the RB quoted on there. That's 50%.

Even so the net RB on stars, party etc for PLO10-50 is ridiculous

With MPN appaerntly it depends on the currency you play in..

This is fom the MPN site..

Games in Euro (EUR)

Our structure is 5% rake, but with a cap that varies depending on the number of players dealt in and the stakes being played.
5+ Players Dealt In:
Blinds Cap
€0.01 / €0.02 €0.06
€0.02 / €0.04 €0.12
€0.05 / €0.10 €0.30
€0.10 / €0.20 €0.60
€0.25 / €0.50 €1.50
€0.50 / €1 and higher €3

Compare this to Pokerstars:
Stakes % Rake 2 Player Cap 3-4 Player Cap 5+ Player Cap
$0.01/$0.02 3.50% $0.30 $0.30 $0.30
$0.02/$0.05 4.15% $0.50 $0.50 $1.00
$0.05/$0.10 to $0.08/$0.16 4.50% $0.50 $1.00 $1.50

It would seem as though MPN is better at micro stakes without rakeback the pokerstars with rakeback..

No idea whether any micro PLO games run on MPN but will definitely be investigating

At PL10 the rake cap of .30 euros is ridiculous in comparison to a rake cap of $1.50 at Stars..

Yeah, and with a good few skins with deposit bonuses plus 30% RB plus possibly more it seems a very decent option.

From pokerscout it seems to be somewhere between ipoker and party traffic wise. Although that's going by memory.
2-4 tabling reg tables at micros has to be possible traffic wise.

What I find funny is that when you type Pokerstars and rake into google it says

Rake - PokerStars
https://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/rake/
Poker Stars has the lowest poker rake on the Internet. Play poker at Poker Stars for the lowest rake online.

One of those marketing tactics? Ie at some game and stake they have the lowest

Can't belive you are defending the rake. You are probably running hotter than the sun and thus underestimate the rake, i've done the same.
