So me, wife and the baby went to a wedding yesterday.

We took a baby monitor with us so we could leave the little one sleeping outside. When we arrived, wife started setting up the monitor, which is basically a pair of walkie-talkies. We used to have one just like it, but lost one of them, and recently bought a new pair of the exact same model.

Wife turned both on and walked a few meters away from the carriage to test the pair. Oddly enough, they didn't work, the receiver just kept beeping frantically to signal there was something wrong. Wife was all baffled and said to me:

"could it be that they don't work cause they're not a pair?
"what do you mean not a pair?"
"I took the remaining one from the old pair and charged it with one from the new set"
"why?"
"I didn't wanna rip the new package entirely by taking out both"
"why?"
"cause it'll be easier to sell later on. But why won't they work? It's the exact same model."

I'm not very tech-savvy, but this kinda stuff makes me a bit sexist, lol.

Anyone got any tips to change an oven light bulb? The glass casing is fn impossible to get off. I can't find a manual for my exact oven, but similar ones say to push in and screw to the left. It doesn't work. There's some tiny metal piece sticking out to the left under the casing, but I have no idea what it is. So annoying.

Grind like hell this night and buy a new oven.

I've been grinding. Fixed sink, fixed lamp in refrigerator, defrosted freezer, secured plug board to wall so I have more outlets in the kitchen, cleaned the oven, installed new fire alarm and removed weed from my little garden. All the **** I've been putting off in a sunday!

Well... unfortunately my showed head came loose friday morning, so I have to install a new one. Crossing my fingers that this is as easy as buying a new hose+head, unscrewing the old one and screwing the new one in. I also need to put some more spackle on a wall and fix the god damn oven light. I've tried a polygrip over a towel wrapped around the light but it won't budge. If I break it, is it ok not to have a new cover over the lamp?

Also, dont put your head in the oven. My mother always told me that.... she also used to hit me with rolling pins and make me hold my ears and do squats when I was being an arse ache. lolmums.
