Re: mr bean would raw dog just about anyone i think (LC Thread)

I've got a couple of job interviews in the next two days and I need a little help prepping. One is for a lesser known financial planning firm and the other is a finance internship at a reputable global firm. Any advice/books you finance gurus recommend?

Vault Guide for the respective area you are interviewing in.

2 days is not enough to properly prep though.
Check out the company's website and see what they got to say.
Read forums on the subject, try to prepare the standard questions. You dont want to find an answer to the questions when you are on the spot.

Find out which technical questions candidates in that field are usually asked and prepare them a bit.

Thanks spurious. Both are entry/intern positions so fingers crossed..

Other than memorising your resume, looking at the company's website (company objectives, position requirements) and reading the vault guide for interview tactics and addressing questions, anything else I should be doing?

No, I hope you've been following the news a bit.
Pick one topic and dive into it a bit deeper, read what's been going on in the last few weeks.

napsus can probably extend on what he wants to see in a candidate.

And these I haven't yet read but they are waiting to be read.
I collected these from BFI, they're supposed to be top books.
