I'm starting from scratch with PLO here's a couple hands I played at PLO25zoom....

Hand 1:
Should I bet this flop? Getting it in with and SPR this big felt wrong, so I was afraid of getting blown off my equity by getting check raised so I checked back the flop...thoughts?

Here when he bets .25 on flop I felt like I could raise him and take it on the turn on blanks since from what i've seen that min bet is often a draw... Is my thinking okay? You guys have a different take on the min flop bet?

And last one for now ... Is there merit to betting the turn here? what about the river ? i don't think there are many straights that take that line so they are either folding or showing up with a better boat...

By from scratch I mean I've played 75k hands ish before lifetime ... big loser ... so I'm grinding through a course online, deleted my database and trying to forget all the assumptions I've made about the game and starting from ground zero and building up my knowledge was much as possible....having said that am I even asking the right questions in the previous post or am I missing the point ?

how I would have played it:
1. never get it in on the flop lol even in holdem this would be bad. I think you played ok.

2. pre call is ok. river is a fold, general rule for 4card straight boards is if you don't have it yourself: fold.

3. no idea how to treat a bet of 1bb lol. I think I would just call with a pair and backdoor flush.

4. raise turn with the nuts. against most people I think river is closer to a fold (what's he betting?)

5. for me this hand is probably fold pre (I'm a 24 VPIP nit). funny that MP is betting this board, flop is a call. I would valuebet river, you lose basically to 99xx, 77 and 97xx and you block a 7, so I think that's a pretty clear valuebet since it should be rare that you are beat.

I'm trying to figure out what I was thinking in hand 4 and I'm drawing a blank... I think there's a >0% chance I didn't realise I had a straight till the river .... hmmm

1.- id bet bet flop anytime i have back door nut equity if i don't I check sometimes sometimes I bet depending if opponent is floaty or not.

2.-this hand I would 3b if it was double suited but as played its fine. I would of raised the turn. He almost never has a straight he would cb the flop and we have blocker to the straight. Then on the river I think id hate life and fold crying rigged rng. Id say just fkme2tears

3.- the next hand id check fold the flop. We just don't have much going no equity and it actually is more of his range then yours so its not really a board I would attack from the bb vs a raiser

4.- I would of raised the turn big but as played fold river

5.- the last hand I would of bet the river. Maybe around 1/2 pot to try get crying call from flushes.

Hand 1:

Trying to figure out whit what hands villian would check-raise this board, do you think he does it with set and two-pair to charge flushdraws or as a bluff?

His calling range in BB should be wide and your range from early position should be high card heavy so this flop favors him so you would fold to a check-raise often and therefore an check-raise works as a bluff but not for value hands.
So he is bluffing often on this board?

And if you got check-raised you can folds without giving up a big pot or putting pressure on him on the turn if you think he is bluffing?

Really dont understand why we should worry about a check-raise here can someone clarify this point?

Hand 2:

Raising or calling pre i think it depends on villians here. But I think raising pre and with the plan of c-betting flop almost 100% is profitable in these lower levels beacuse of high fold equity on flop. Also your hand plays better heads up on flop instead multi way, I am leaning to raise pre.

Raising turn you have the nuts on the turn and charge villians draws for the maximum.

Ok here's my two cents and take with grain of salt bc I'm NL player just trying to learn PLO.

H1: Agree w/fkme2 on betting flop, it's only semi coordinated texture where no straights/flushes are possible yet so I think cbetting overpair w/backdoor draw and also blocking middle pair is good. Rest of hand looks standard.

H2: I think call > 3b > fold, not totally sure. Really unsure on flop, xb definitely seems fine to me, it's much more of a clear check than otf in hand 1 imo. River is kind of interesting there...he probably doesn't have offsuit 75 that often preflop and I doubt he leads the turn with 95s or T9s (except hh obviously) so it doesn't appear to me at first glance that he has so many straights there and Hero's range seems pretty capped. Seems if he bluffs his missed hearts (Hero blocking Jh sucks in that regard) and bluffs some 97s we might have to call for this low price.

H3: Min flop bet can mean a lot of things, this just seems spewy, especially ott after getting called with such poor equity. You need to have more solid reads for this kind of super explo play imo.

H4: Is this generally not a flop cbet? I just don't know PLO equity distributions well enough. Seems like it could be a cbet.
River is close, prob fold.

H5: Yeah bet river.

Hand3 is obviously explo play which could be fine.
Hand4 raise turn you had nuts.
But other hands played fine overall. Wp
