$2/$5 game with $1000 stacks. We have this hand on the button
As 7s Ah 6c
EP raises and gets 2 callers in front of us
WE....call ......because we don't want to reveal that we have Aces?

Most of Hwangs theory's are dead as the games have developed today...

I would never just call there.

Sounds like Phil Gordon's, "the 4th raise is always aces"

I agree with Mr Hwang here. With the flop likely being 4ways, our hand doesn't play well. AAJTss would be a squeeze in my book already.

don't mind the call, don't agree with the reason. GGARJ, are you squeezing in the example if it's 100bbs instead?

Yea, at 100bb this becomes a squeeze assuming opener potted it, we can get ~100/500 in pre unless I miscalced. We prob get at least one fold often and can shove a lot of flops w/o worries.

Most of the time I raise because I'm reaising/3 betting a lot of buttons, but if there are super aggressive blinds I don't mind a call to try for a backraise.

Yea, it's fine to 3bet most of your AA if you 3bet a ton, but it's important to differentiate between your squeezing range and your overall 3bet range. Squeezing wide is almost always a mistake.
