deep25plo | close decision in 3bet pot

Villain is very active. He plays 32/25 and is quite aggro and splashy postflop. He is not a very good lag tho.
I was pretty loose and aggro myself and did 3bet him a lot across multiple tables.
I hope preflop is standard. On the flop I'm pretty much clueless I have to admit. I don't reallly wanna give up my FE and x/c but bet getting it in seems very thin. Bet folding sucks as well b/c we give up a lot of equity vs 2pair or draws. Such a weird spot.

A note on him says that he x/calls pretty light in 3bet pots (multiway) and goes broke deep light as well. (65** on 6532ss vs me for 250bb). This makes me wanna stack off more here.

Fwiw I don't think villain is bluffraising those spots or raise/folding anything. If he raises my cbet I think he is willing to get it in.

I hope this range is kinda accurate:

b/c or b/3bet

really can't b'f this flop unless it is against a nit

you can mix in both c/c and c/r for balance but both have their own problems this deep on this board texture, im leading this board with your hand at least 75% of the time

Thing with b/c is that we can only continue on like a quarter of the turn cards and we can expect him to be betting a lot of those specific cards and all cards that dont help us.

b/3b would be really gross spew as we would be stacking some 10 SPR with top pair + GS on a two tone flop against a range which we never are a favorite on and with very little FE.

So continuing to a raise is -EV IMO.

Re: deep25plo | close decision in 3bet pot

you need to turn your hand into some bluffs when you b/c some of the time clearly

in terms of raw equity though your hand should definitely be strong enough to b/c against a wide portion of villain's raising range

turn can be tricky but i still think b/fing this flop is a losing play

Re: deep25plo | close decision in 3bet pot

dont like b/f with TP+GS+BFD that deep. He can be raising with worse.

def b/c flop and eval turn.

overall its a standard cbet spot and we have to much equity/backdoor equity to fold.

he will raise with OESD+NFD tho. also with worse.

some turns will suck yes, esp diamonds but why let him run over us ?

without Gs and BFD its a clear b/f tho

Re: deep25plo | close decision in 3bet pot

I am in the b/f camp. Villain has the fd only about 20% of the time, so we would be remiss if we didn't c/bet this flop. But if we get raised, we are rarely in any kind of shape to continue. And if he calls, we are going to be playing a guessing game on a lot of cards.

Our 2pr outs make a straight ( except the A) so we can't really feel good about that, diamonds are potentially bad, and 678JQ and K are all scare cards.

Finally, villain may be on sets himself and any 2pr outs are still leaving us behind.

Not crazy about b/3b except very rarely as a bluff, and would want to have some idea that villain can fold...which OP's reads don't say. Granted that villain stacks off light, but there are too may ways he can improve even if we are ahead.
