I'm terribad at reviewing sessions and marked hands. I feel like I'm due for some hand review/studying, so I might as well start with marked hands for this year in the database.
I'm thinking I'm behind too many hands on this flop: Jxxx, QQxx, AAxx, and I'm blocking zero hearts. I'm only getting value from Qxxx which doesn't necessarily call without a flush draw.
It seems like my options here are to check back or turn my KK into a bluff and represent a J. That said, I'd only be turning my KK into a bluff against AA, which ought to be discounted since UTG failed to 4 bet pre flop.
I think this flop is a check.
This situation seems similar to the flop. I think our options are to check back or turn our KK into a bluff. Hands we're bluffing now are AA, T9 no flush, Jxxx no flush. If I'm bluffing these hands, I'll need to full pot it.
Villain having called, it's time to start adding some flushes to his range.
I don't expect to get T9 or Jxxx (most of the time) to fold at this point. As played, this is a check I think. If I had bet full pot on the turn, there are some hands that might call and fold to a river barrel: AA, Jxxx, T9. As stated, a lot of these just call anyway. There aren't really enough hands that are beating me that I can successfully bluff, even having full potted the turn.
I think this is a check back.
Spoiler:
Results: $0.73 pot ($0.03 rake)
Final Board: J J Q 8 6
UTG showed 2 A 9 9 and won $0.70 ($0.35 net)
Hero showed K A K 4 and lost (-$0.35 net)
Preflop is a good 3bet, although keep in mind that against the much tighter UTG opening range it's probably better to flat a lot of the less premium KKxx combos because it's a disaster if you get 4bet from the UTG player, the A blocker plays a big role lowering the combos of AA he could have.
Flop is good for your range assuming your MP vs UTG 3bet range isn't just all KKxx, AAxx hands, like some high card run downs which smash this board so I like betting for a small amount of protection from straights & flushes coming off, particularly since you block no hearts whatsoever.
As played on turn you should check this turn back also, by this turn card if you are ahead there are very few hands you need to protect from. You would definitely like to get to showdown here and you have no blockers to villains continuing range, e.g. a Q blocking QQ, hearts blocking flushes, Tx, 9x blocking straights etc.
As played OTR you should check, like there aren't many hands that called turn that will fold river (well I guess there could be I have no idea what UTG has) but having no good blockers to anything doesn't help your case for a bluff.
