Logic would say that the best fish:reg ratio is the $5 level. Just keep moving up while keeping good BRM. Why do you care if others are using a HUD? If you're doing fine without it, then keep on trucking.

If you play at the casino you get the best donks at certain times of the day. Christmas can be bad as people usually don't have extra money - they went xmas shopping.
Maybe after football would be a good time to play - sports betters won $$$
All a HUD can ever do for you is help you and I don't see any reason why not having one would hurt you in particular unless you specifically knew you were mainly playing against other players who have a decent sample size on you and can theoretically exploit you for your tendencies.
I tend to find that the lower the stakes, the softer the games since the money seems to mean less to people overall so you have a lot of punters/ recs/ casuals in there who don't mind losing $5-$10.
I don't play Bovada but from what I've heard/ seen the games even into the midstakes are pretty soft with a large majority of the players playing far from optimal - This goes for both PLO and NL.
also a hud isnt as important on bovada since its anonymous and will only track that current session
The only way a HUD is hugely helpful is if you're playing cash games + MTTs or mixing different sites for cash games. Otherwise, it's easy enough to keep up with 4 tables and who's good/not good.
