Hey guys had a decent sized discussion among some friends about whether in a spot like this on wet board with essentially the nuts you prefer betting turn hoping they have strong draw or Tx to continue or check back to induce a river bet / lighter river call potentially / let them catch up with weak draws

opinions?

Really depends on the villain type and any relevant reads, but in general I keep betting because I think there are a lot of hands that will continue and we can get value from, and any hands that are folding turn we probably wouldn't get much action from anyways, unless they are an aggro bluffer, in which case a check could be fine. But, I think those players are fewer than the previously mentioned ones.

I believe you should be barreling here for value almost always, you want to start building a pot to potentially win a good portion by the river. There are also plenty of draws and weaker value hands that can continue against a bet. On top of that, this is a turn card you might also be barreling as a bluff with some air/ draws to deny equity from a lot of hands so you don't have to worry about having such a nutted range betting this turn that can be exploited by villains folding more.

I was about to say "betting is better but checking is OK vs the right villain". But I thought we were OOP. In position this is just the clearest of bets.
