I actually prefer to x/r flop since this board is better for our range than his so there should be a lot of fold equity.

As played turn can't be too much of a mistake either.

Obviously against his actual hand we're not in fantastic shape, like 30-35ish%, but I think overall you're not making a huge mistake since I think there's some hands he might barrel here that we're either doing fine against or have some fold equity against.

x/r the flop was my initial reaction (before reading the other comments), especially as flush draw is to the nuts and villain has a lot of hands that he'll c-bet and have to fold to a raise.

As played, I'm not sure how often he's bet/folding the turn given the remaining stacks. His strong made hands have to bet for protection and will mostly get it in, his strong draws will bet/gii, his weaker draws will check back. Weaker made hands might check back with the intention of calling a blank river. I don't think there's much two-barrelling with air on this board. So I just call the turn.

We donk flop for other reasons than just the fact it is "our board"

Good players (esp. when facing other good players) will have polarized c-betting strategies especially when short-stacked. That is, they will c-bet with hands they are quite happy to GII facing a raise and they will c-bet their bluffs & weak value/protection hands that are happy to fold to a x/r) - But they will check stuff like anything with a back door draw, 2nd/3rd nut flush draws with not much else, gutshots/pair+gutshots etc. since all of these hands hate to face a x/r and would be quite glad to see a free card.

When we x/r and GII with this hand against a polarized c-betting range we ofc will never be in terrible shape but we will also never be crushing opponent either (except vs 579T wrap with FD) - But on average I'd say we will have 40-45% equity.

Thus, our hand makes an excellent donking option since we want to be building a pot from all those hands that would check back (specifically the worse FD's)

Against your average villain at micro stakes though that will probably be c-bet quite high in HU pot and likely not be checking back medium draws, then we probably don't need a donking range theoretically and this hand is fine as a x/r or even as a x/c. But despite that, I still probably donk this hand as an unbalanced donking strategy.
