Hey guys, could I get some opinions please...

I'm thinking about starting a pay-per-view style poker training site. I think it'll make it easier and cheaper to watch the videos you want. It'll get rid of being restricted to the sites roster and remove the subscription cost. Pros will also get more control in the process as well. I'll make it free or charge a nominal fee which will remove the barriers to trying out making videos. There will be no contracts either so pros can make as many or as few videos as they like. They can set their own prices, make the videos they want to make and receive 50% of all video sales revenue.

Could you guys see yourselves/others buying videos one at a time or in a small series like this? Would making videos appeal to any of you guys?

HUSNG.com has recently transitioned to the pay-per-view model, and ChicagoRy seems to be quite satisfied by this move. I don't know, however, how free its pros are.

For some reason I am scared to play live cash games. It may be the weed and having criminal minds on whilst grinding every day recently making me paranoid. But an environment of dominantly males basically trying to **** each other over for money is going to incite a lot of hatred towards me as I would probably crush them. You get all these donks online wishing you had cancer and ****, maybe one of them is fked up enough to rush and smash you over head in parking lot and take your money. Especially if you fk them and start singing stfu noob etc or genereally show happiness or positive tilt, maybe it's worse if you are ice cold and respectful. In tournaments I think there is enough sporting element to it for it to be less of a risk. And this is a reason why we need ambassadors like devil fish and even helmuth. People who show you have to have fun and enjoy the game to win is tricking the player pool though.

what about just thinking it in your head? Poker players are always trying to read your thoughts and I'm not sure I could keep a poker face if I do some kind of sick call with pocket 5s on river.

I didn't say you couldn't hero call in that thread, but a call there is certainly a 'hero' call. I.e it's a bad call on paper but you can have the soul read.

This description sounds more like a polyamorous gay meetup to me I think it's a much friendlier environment than you imagine - people come to casinos primarily to have fun and possibly win something in the process, not to make each other broke. Even if you act like a nit, you can still leave a good impression if you take part in the table talk, order at least a Pepsi when the mark grabs a bottle of whisky so that they don't drink alone (true story), etc.

Do research and go to venues that have a decent security service, or take massive self-defence measures.

well, I've never heard of any serious violence in the few casinos we have here, but if you plan on playing in certain underground games you better bring some heavy metal with you. A friend of mine who works as a janitor for a company once had to clean up the left overs of some underground HS game amongst a bunch of gunhappy albanians. there were obviously no dead bodies around when he got to work the place, but he even brought a bloody chip home with him. said there was blood all over the place, there was even a report in the local newspaper the next day saying that the game played around 10k - 20k buyins.

Anyone use UK trains alot?

I want to go somewhere for a couple nights next week, i can get pretty damn cheap route at just 11£ but I have to do 4 changes (other routes range from 4-20x the charge). Anyway most of the changes only have 9-15 minutes inbetween them and I have to get those trains. So I guess I'm just wondering what happens if the first train is late and causes me to miss all the other trains. Is it worthwhile booking seperate trains with more waiting inbetween? THat's gonna be a lot of added waiting time though on top of the already 5 hour journey.

If the trains are late, you'll be fine getting a later train and being able to use your ticket for it.

Well, the problem is that super off-peak tickets aren't valid on off-peak and peak trains, so there's less flexibility than you might have thought

So I advise to book more convenient / expensive routes using the money saved by not spewing at the tables

If the trains are delayed though it is the train company's fault and they will let you travel on an alternative route that wasn't allowed on your ticket.

Something super weird just happened
Played this crazy 3bet barreling guy and got super paranoid, just felt like he was doing everything right+made some ricilous hero calls and so on,

It got to the point where i just opened paint for lols and wrote something along the lines of "i know your watching"
The second i wrote this he said gg and snap left, i was like wtf
Mind you, he was winning and had a solid momentum, just doesn't make any sense to quit rly
mby just a sick coincidence+i rly was srsly paranoid and was quiting soon anyway b/c of that, emailed support too, well see if im crazy or not

Does one get a refund if the trains are served by different companies? I don't think so, and the coverage of each company is rather limited, especially if the route with changes is long.

I wish sites had a minimum blind in for 10 hands if someone agrees to play headsup. I'm getting so damn sick of being ratholed all the time, is that really the strategy people have now? Rathole a few bb's then never play that person again?

Yeah they are always fish. But I am very tempted to put 40bbs down in 10/20 sometimes and just hit and running 10bbs lel. Thing is with shortstacking, it's not really good to play longer as the big stack has a long term edge when it comes to stacking. These people will have relatively small rolls and will be inexperienced.

I booked hotel cheap by not having cancellation potential then realized that it was 95% an elderly persons resort. fml. Shouldn't be too much of a problem but just cringing at walking past the entertainment.

i drink randomly alone way too often than i should, but that vid sums it up
tbh im just in full grind mode right now and once in a while get wasted, that's my life right now
made way too many bad financial decisions lifetime (not in poker, just reckless spending habit) and now just gridning to reach x sum and then take time off and enjoy life a little more+small grind
zero real life goals, just make $ and degen to the fullest and hopefully grow up somewhere in the process

in 2013 i think i spewed about a $40k roll within 2 months on drinking, partying and hookers abroad, then come back and play plo50 and low stakes tourneys
but mindset is very good, has been good times anyway, just stupid overspending

There is nothing to coach, i've played small stakes poker all my poker career (which is about 3 years full time). Nothing more to it than leave your ego at the door and do some work off the tables.
Btw, im a lil tipsy so might post some fun degen and whatnot pics what ive made over time to spice up this thread a little.
