Anyone find it odd that while Drama and Comedy movies have improved a ton in the last 20-30 years, action movies seemed to have decreased in quality if anything? I don't think any of the cgi infused trash they're coming up with lately matches up to classic action flicks from the 80s and early 90s like Terminator 1 +2, Total Recall, Predator, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, etc. I guess it could just be nostalgia speaking though and if I was 12 years old now I'd think The Expendables and Transporter 3 or whatever are awesome.

Also, anyone else like Noah Baumbauch's films (Greenberg, Squid and the Whale, Margot at the Wedding)? They don't have any likeable characters in them for the most part, but I think they're excellent, in particular squid and whale and greenberg. They feel really authentic and are interesting without anything extraordinary happening in them, kind of like the movie equivalent of a really good short story.

I don't understand how the f someone who is not a millionaire can be so naive/careless with money that he can lose $30k to completely unknown guy online. Most money I've ever borrowed to anyone was 1500 euros and even that felt like a crazy amount to trust someone else even though I've known the guy since I was 6 or something like that.
