Question of the day part 2:
Bit of background info. Playing in 5/10 game today. It's in this guys condo downtown. Very safe game. Very small player pool where everyone knows each other. Mix of wealthy businessmen/full time grinders. There is a guy waiting to get into the game. He is a younger guy mid twenties "pro" with no car, lol. Two days ago he won 3k in the game and quit. No ride home and wants the game runner to pay for his taxi lol. Apparently he sat there and bitched and moaned about it for 2 hours until the guy gave him taxi money.
The game plays big and there are 3-4 guys who straddle almost always(me being one of them). Sometimes we will get the whole table to go mandatory straddle. This had happened two orbits prior. It's off now.
Guy is utg and most of the table is talking/eating/drinking/looking for their brain and generally not paying attention to anything. This guy starts asking if mandatory straddles still on, is it my straddle, and I instantly look at his hand holding his cards. Table says no it's not on paying no attention to him and he limps for 10. Couple limpers and button pops it to $60. Folds back to the guy, who has still not looked at his hand since trying to straddle. He pops it to $320. Button calls and they get it all in on a low rainbow flop. They agree to run twice and this guy shows up with aces (shocker!) and button has jacks. The first run brings a jack on the turn. The second runout brings a jack on the river!
Do you:
A). Say nothing. Ur only 99.283% sure he was trying to cheat and calling out someone for cheating is a pretty big accusation
B). Say in a very calm voice: "I don't know u very well and I know it sucks when u get a bad beat in a big pot like that but..." then pause for a few seconds while the whole table laughs at u and says cool story WTF u talking about.... Then continue with "I am pretty sure that was just karma for trying to blatantly cheat by posting the straddle after looking down at aces and knowing full well there was a good chance you could get away with it"
C). Bust out laughing and say that's what u get for trying to cheat u scum bag!
