Tomorrow is technically the last of april, but no swede ever remembers any of that day due to a weird pseudo-holiday called "walpurgis night".
This is a day where pretty much everyone gets absolutely blacked out. Like, more drunk than new years. It's strange. SO, I self-exclude on stars for 36hrs and start the graph thread with this:

gl in may all

Door how does it feel that if you "had ran as good as you ran bad" you would have $150k more than you have now? That's a very nice car I feel bad over my micro graph..

uhhhhhhhh i was 600k below at one point and also broke multiple times so im very fortunate to be where i am now regardless of what my ev says. i think poker is almost over so my timing for running good is pretty perfect

Bit of a strange month, ran under ev yet again for something like the 6th straight month, but came back well after my early heater crashed.

I also started putting some thought in away from the tables for the first time since i started playing again. Watched a few videos and started to look for obvious leaks, and i think it's definitely helped, and more importantly it's made the process more enjoyable - it's very satisfying to analyse your game, plug 1-2 leaks and then reap the rewards

Also took advantage of the HEM2 deal (hence the shiny new graph), which is an upgrade from HEM1 for just $20 - this month only though so get it while you can!

I think it's pretty simple for those wanting DB to explain. At the higher stakes games are very tough already, they will only get tougher, due to the more predatory nature of the games nowadays, the lack of fish, the fact that the biggest online site seems to be more intent on killing high stakes than helping it and many other reasons. Unless something particularly crazy happens not a lot will change that.

Don't worry, Vicky Coren's second EPT title has prolonged the life of online poker by at least a year imo. Britain is having a poker boom now

Good job the month is over IMO

Played ok, but 5/10 10/20 shots went horrible.

In regards to your question a lot of what BigA said is true and in line with what I'm thinking. If you're fine with grinding hundreds of k's of hands a year to make 100-200k then poker will have a longer shelf life for you than for me. I want to live out my 20's and that amount of money is not worth the time I feel like I'd be losing doing something else.

A lot of my enjoyment these days comes from playing people I consider a bit worse than me or a bit better than me (and not playing 2k+ hands a day). A couple years ago it was the thought of someday being the best. Now I think that the opportunity to do that is nonexistent because of the money gap between myself and the roll necessary for the highest stakes and I think it would be very irresponsible given the risk of what I have now and what losing that would do to my future.

I'm sure I won't ever quit poker, but the time to focus on other things seems to be much closer than I thought even a year ago.

Doorbread, sick graph. 500$/100h of Ev money is huge. What limits are you playing?

Really happy with my results last month. I think I'm finally starting to get a hang of this game. Could be mostly rungood though.

~8k hands of PLO20 on ipoker, rest hands PLO25 Zoom on stars.
