ok yea that wasn't the best response. basically raising now to get it in vs. any sort of reasonable leading range is going to be +ev, and not only that, it's the better option vs. our other options that we have available

- calling isn't the worst but it's tough to play turns as villain's range isn't super defined, so we wouldn't really know that to do on turns that aren't diamonds or an A, or possibly 2,3,5 as well as those are most likely blanks. so we'd put ourselves in a guessing game on turns where our range might be kinda face-up (like we prob won't get value when we hit our flush) and we'd be prone to making mistakes vs. villain on lots of turn cards (like we might fold a T even tho he had a wrap+fd, which we would've been doing great against on the flop had we chose to get it in)

- folding is out of the questions obv, as well as raising small and folding to a shove or something similar

agree with this for sure...calling i guess isn't awful, but i'd def elect to wager as many chips as possible in this spot...i guess probably a small % of the time you get it in can be ahead vs big draws, but as stated you probably can't get value if you smash flush on turn and he just has big wrap
