I don't think my hand plays well enough on further streets to x/c flop so my plan was to b/f and continue betting on good turn cards. This one however I'm quite unsure what to do. It seems like I'm in pretty bad shape vs his gii range but I need a lot of protection vs worse. Is it still best to pot/call this? What if the board was Q829?

Bet ~3.8 , fold to raise, re-evaluate river that is most often going to be a check -> decision - we don't block any hearts , there's some wraps out there we don't have 9 or T in our hand , double barrel looks pretty strong - Don't want to pot I don't think because it makes it a lot easier for our opponent to play vs us since we are saying we have an overpair like 95% of the time since I don't think potting with QQxx here is good

Ingame I was infact toying around with different betsizes looking for one I could b/f with but figured the SPR was just slightly too small to do so. Also I think with a lot of my better hands, I'd like to pot that spot and deny his draws equity so having two sizings seems more difficult to balance.
I also think a halfway observant opponent will read into this and jam lighter over my weaker sizing. Of course I can balance it with sth like AA + hearts but it seems like I have way more marginal overpairs than the latter when going for this sizing. Thoughts?
