Need postflop stats and reads to know how wide villain's cbet calling range is.

Generally, I shove turn. Considering how loose his range probably is, you can't check/fold, so you might as well shove. If he's very predictable, you can consider check/call (expecting it to check through), and trying to play rivers intelligently.

yeah, I shoved. Just wanted to make sure it's standard. Thanks guys.

It just felt like a weird play at the time, since I am generally only getting called by better. Although our equity against most two pair combinations is probably pretty decent. We could realistically have 13 outs against A9xx.

i'd bet bigger on the flop just to set up a little bit more of a value looking shove on the turn, as well as to discourage his hands like 9876 or 6543 from peeling trying to hit two pair or a wrap. Theoretically on such a dry board (assuming you have a fairly tight squeezing range here) villain should be very tight with his continuing range where your range smashes and his mostly whiffs. But in practice at low/micro stakes small bets get peeled more frequently. It may be exploitative to bet larger here with our vulnerable value hands (while betting smaller with our bluffs and nuts) but I think it's the +EV way to play the spot.

cool, thanks for the thought out response.

In general, my standard is to bet 1/2 pot in 3bet pots. I'll tweak that number slightly depending on board textures, but if I'm betting, it's almost always 1/2 pot. The only time I deviate from this number is when I'm playing against someone who is willing to stack off light OTF, in which case I'll bet closer to full pot with my value hands.

When you say bet bigger in this spot, how big would you suggest?

I like the flopsize. Super dry board thats hits Heros perceived range harder than villains.

Size your bets according to board and stacks.

Flop bet size is fine/good as long as we know what we are doing when we don't hit the turn.
