$33, bottom set multiway

MTT just started.

I have tiny samples on villains (5 hands) and they all have stats like 4x-6x/0-1x.

PartyGaming - $30+$3|30/60 PL Hi - Omaha - 8 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

UTG+1: 1,690.00
MP: 2,980.00
MP+1: 2,980.00
CO: 14,470.00
BTN: 3,615.00
SB: 2,720.00
Hero (BB): 4,576.00
UTG: 3,465.00

SB posts SB 30.00, Hero posts BB 60.00

Pre Flop: (90.00) Hero has 3 3 J A

UTG calls 60.00, fold, MP calls 60.00, fold, CO calls 60.00, fold, SB calls 30.00, Hero checks

Flop: (300.00, 5 players) 8 3 T
SB checks, Hero....

Strong draws and better sets are all in their range, how do you like to proceed? -- Arguments for lead/x against c/c (c/r)?

Since I`m in rel.positions to open-limper and having a lot of BD stuff I like to start by checking.
But not sure how should I proceed if someone bets small and would get some callers - can it be an opportunity for c/r ever?
If not and you prefer c/c how would you proceed on bad turn cards like J,9,7 (non-hearts) if someone pots it?

Pot and take a decision if you get raised, probably fold

I don't think potting is the best play vs these particular villains as you can literally get three streets from Kings, Queens, and sometimes worse if you make less scary smaller bets.

I'd be inclined to c/c here. It's early and lets see how villain's play there hand.

Easiest way though would be B/F. But again, no reads, villains can bet a wide range here.

Re: $33, bottom set multiway

you have a lot of money left behind if you c/pot, and bad position. if they call you, a lot of turn cards will give you migraines, even if you fill up. b/f is fine if you're readless. Usually I'd be betting out, and honestly I'd be hoping everyone just folded. C/c is fine too, I think. But ultimately there's never a comfortable way to play bottom set oop against a lot of players when you have a lot of chips behind.
