Back home now, stuff attached below. Regs, Don't burn me for posting an actual chart/table - its just something i put together when trying to better understand the building blocks of Ploranges as a noob.

Only posting it in the spirit of the thread, initially wouldn't have shared this with anyone when started it but things change. There will be inconsistencies and errors in there !! But like i say... just posting it if someone starting out wants to dedicate some time to memorising ranges and needs a visual format to help.

Regards, Tops.

why are you people even posting this? I mean discussing hands(as nobody is going to read old threads anyways) is one thing but posting potential good information is just so redicoulus... You dont like money do you? Making more people having a good openeing range... just sick

PLO is played over 4 streets, not one. Learning this chart by heart won't make u a winning player, but it's a start. I don't mind new people learning PLO personally, and if this helps to encourage them to try, I'm happy.

Obv, stuff like this is also about giving back to the community.

Helping a toddler to learn the alphabet is very different to helping them memorise the entire dictionary. Milestones gonna Stone.

depends on who I get to play against, my range is obv tighter compared to unopened pots, I no longer play K992r or the like. Really hard to draw an exact line though, as it really depends on whether I see value in playing the hand.

Thank you for producing this chart, GoGetaRealJob. I'm new to PLO. I've been playing way too loose.

Started adding some Omaha to my Hold'em games. I am interested to hear from OP how he perceives playing unsuited hands. In the hand chart, when I am not incorrect, there isn't much talk about unsuited hands. I would imagine for example that I would be opening AKQJ-9876 unsuited or QQJT unsuited from anywhere in 6-max. This might be a leak though, so I am interested to hear what can be said about this.

Did you just coin the phrase "multigapper"?

I find it worrying that I instinctually consider QQ78ds to be better (to 3bet and limp/call) than QQJTds. I mean the two queens make a set and the straight when there is wrap and both will usually put you in front.... but it does offer J and T outs, but this is balanced by the weakness of QJT without a 4 card and one queen 'dead'- they intefere with flopability and to an extent combo drawness. Hot and cold I know QQJT is better but meh

This kind of **** makes me want to download omaha tracker + get my hand histories so I can have a look at their profit. At some point I should spend a week studying this ****.

B=broadway card (AKQJT)

Rainbow hands are trouble hands, simply because flushes beat str8s. Many top-tier rainbow hands become playable in late position though.

I'm having troubles with preflop playability. I think I'm starting to get into the gray, where the correct awnser is depends.

Are any of these clear opens or clear mucks in MP or UTG? (w = wheel)

AQTwss or AQJwss AKJwss AQTwss ATJwss AQT8ss

AQJ9r AJT9r

I also think I'm probably playing too many unsuited BBBB type hands UTG, I open 9JQK everytime.

Since Shallow plo is pretty popular how much do you loosen up in those games when you have a 40-70bb stack?

i started playing a weekly $1/$2 PLO homegame, 10player (all bad including myself), $200 buy-in.
and i thought i was playing tight! but that list would be Holy super NIT at my loose game.

GGRJ,
What would you add to your 6max list for my loose 10lpayer home game?
or heck, $1/$2 10player live game in general?

Loose game, 10 players, most of them on each flop... play nutty hands, limp the ones that don't flop well often. Suited aces, big pairs, high rundowns, decent recipe for success

mid pocket pairs lose value multiways, same goes for middling gappers. Nut-peddle first and loosen up as you get comfortable with the relative strength of hands

ggarj , this is really helpfull thanks for this.

Just curious in relation to your EP raising range, i presume all these hands are fit to call 3bets and evaluate the flop from there?

Are there any other articles around here strategy, math related anything for learning plo cash players that you or anyone else have written that would be helpfull?

I wouldn't say all of those hands, there's a few variables for constructing ur open+call 3bet range. 3 important ones come to mind:

1) villain's range. How does ur hand play vs it? Are u likely to hit often enough? Are you likely to be dominated on flops that seem good for you?

2) position. Is my postflop edge in position big enough to justify calling hands that don't flop well often?

3) should I 4bet? This is important especially OOP, often better to push thin edges pre than call a 3bet OOP vs wide range.

wrt more reading, check out the Grand Digest sticky

Benni - PLO is postflop. Dont warry about pre!! Those things depend heavily on post flop SPR. Also, pretty sic that u have your own questions thread. well played.

@RonZ/trnfs... I will look for the chart.

Although, that said, it is better to create your own chart as it will make you better handerstand plo hand forms (cwidt?)... and to be blunt that chart is worthless imo unless your learning the plo from scratch like a week into learning / I had a data table behind that chart which I planned to link to the chart cells which would be much more useful imo. I will have a think/look for it and maybe post that instead.
