200plo fold river?

hi,
villain is one of the better regs around. he probably views me as splashy and tilty (it's been a bad day). my pf complete is a bit iffy but other than that i was happy with my play. on the river i had a strong feeling i was going to get raised and i have no idea why.

all thoughts appreciated

i dont really see anything in his range here. weird spot.

the only hands which connect well enough with that board to slowplay are probably raised pre. but its such a weird river to turn say a wrap in to a bluff.

1st and last letters of name?

I feel like his range is more on the missed draw side with the line that he has taken. The raise could really just be a desperation play at this point and the only way he can win the pot with no showdown value. Most players would have raised a set before the river (every card except 6 & 7 will complete a straight draw of sorts) so would be good to get money in and value from draws.

I'm still calling out of the retardedness of the line, he should raise QQ OTF or OTT, AA pre pretty much everytime. At least, he'll show up with a spazz or an overplayed JT44hh or something enough to make it worth looking up. If he has the case 99, gratz

If you posted anything to indicated that he might have a brain other than "he's a reg", I'd think about folding. Hard though when he reps only case 99

If our image is tilted then he can play QQ like this. Fold.

I'd be confused and end up leveling myself to think villain could've decided to valueshove AQ because you bet the river so small and end up calling. And I don't really like folding when I have no clue wtf is going on, which also makes me wanna call. Just so weird to ever get raised here by someone who isn't randomly clicking buttons while drooling over himself.

I think some more history, especially how you think he perceives you would be helpful here.

In my opinion describing someone as "one of the better regs around" at plo200 implies they aren't complete idiots and at least competent enough to realize their line here is weird as ****. And I don't really get why he isn't repping QQ as much as 99?

I think the fact that he sees you as spazzy makes this a fold. Good regs don't usually try to bluff spazzy players

Preflop makes it less likely, although obviously not impossible.

lol weird spot. I guess he could have set + hearts. Just seems weird with co calling otf behind him, that he wouldn't at least raise the turn. Truely weird spot to bluff, too.

    I shrug and call.

EDIT: I mean we have a 9 and an A, too.

My guess would be QQ+hearts (no idea why no raise pre, but maybe he's on a more passive side pre). That being said, in game I would Never fold this. He might raise with AQ for value also?

this was my feeling at the time. maybe a crummy QQ52hh type hand that he's not going to raise pre and has flopped so hard he doesnt mind keeping people in. the limper was very passive and he's got a donk happily driving the action

maybe that's seeing monsters under the bed?
