Hand 1

UTG (who's effectively MP) has been playing kind of loose over 67 hands. I decided to 3bet because I figured to be ahead of his range. The shortstack might decide to go all-in and re-open the betting for me, and even if he doesn't we will go to the flop with SPR just a little above 2, and our hand shouldn't be too hard to play.

PokerStars - $0.50 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): 102.3 BB
UTG: 245.16 BB (VPIP: 49.25, PFR: 25.37, 3Bet Preflop: 12.50, Hands: 67)
CO: 40.4 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 8.33, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 13)
BTN: 162.64 BB (VPIP: 32.43, PFR: 10.81, 3Bet Preflop: 3.90, Hands: 188)
SB: 42.68 BB (VPIP: 32.61, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 47)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K A J 6

UTG raises to 3 BB, CO calls 3 BB, fold, fold, Hero raises to 12.5 BB, UTG calls 9.5 BB, CO calls 9.5 BB

Flop: (38 BB, 3 players) 4 6 Q
Hero bets 17 BB, UTG calls 17 BB, fold

I'm not sure about my decision to cbet here. I was ofc hoping to get some folds from UTG, and I don't care too much what the shortstack does. If I had a monster I might have bet small enough to allow him to re-open the betting for me, but since I'm bet/folding I decided to go with a sizing that will get some folds.

Turn: (72 BB, 2 players) 5
Hero checks, UTG bets 68.76 BB, fold

Turn I think is not very interesting.

Hand 2

Villain has been playing pretty loose. He's opening his button 75% so I decided to go with a 3bet here.

BB: 116.58 BB (VPIP: 30.95, PFR: 16.67, 3Bet Preflop: 8.33, Hands: 126)
CO: 217.98 BB (VPIP: 24.75, PFR: 16.83, 3Bet Preflop: 8.11, Hands: 103)
BTN: 273.68 BB (VPIP: 22.48, PFR: 17.50, 3Bet Preflop: 7.77, Hands: 998)
Hero (SB): 109.78 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 8 J Q T

fold, BTN raises to 3 BB, Hero raises to 10 BB, fold, BTN calls 7 BB

Flop: (21 BB, 2 players) 4 T 6
Hero bets 11 BB, BTN calls 11 BB

We flop TP and decent sidecards, I can see both c/calling and betting being viable options here, but I decided to go with a bet. Would like to hear if you think c/c is better.

Turn: (43 BB, 2 players) 6
Hero bets 19.5 BB, BTN raises to 42 BB, fold

Turn pairs the midcard and I decided to double barrel. I think he will fold his draws and naked TP hands now. When he raises me I feel very sad and fold.

Please help me figure out those spots.

Thanks a lot.

preflop is obv both good, flop cbet in first hand is way too loose and pretty bad, esp vs 2 villains, one of them being short stacked. it is not a good result if shorty jams over your cbet, and obv very bad spot if utg calls/raises. just c/fold.

hand 2: any other reads besides him opening 75% of his button (which is reasonable, esp with tight players in the blinds)? depending on his playing style, there could be points made for c/shoving, c/c, b/c and b/f.
in a vacuum, c/c is prob slightly better imo but can get us in tricky spots on later streets, esp readless. were you b/c or b/f? either way, would like a bigger sizing otf, you donīt really have the hand you want to induce some plays from villain.

turn, bet bigger again, as played, well, you might easily have induced just what happened due to your small bettings on both streets, but readless, as played, fold.

Hand 1: 3bet is fine, flop is a c/f tho
Hand 2: I usually flat this hand, would 3bet if it was 9TJQ or suited to the Q, but thats personal preference, the 3bet is fine ofc.
I would cbet a little on the larger side, but if thats your standard cbet sizing on semi-dry boards its fine. Turn is fine, I would also bet a little more to make it look more commiting and AA-like (maybe 60% pot). Once he raises you can't really do much other than fold.
