Poker Stars $10.00 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players

UTG: $11.34
Hero (MP): $18.65
CO: $10.00
BTN: $46.88
SB: $9.65
BB: $19.10

CO posts a big blind ($0.10)

Pre Flop: ($0.25) Hero is MP with K J A Q
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.45, CO raises to $1.50, BTN calls $1.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.05

Flop: ($4.65) 4 A 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $4.00, BTN folds, Hero raises to $16.45, CO calls $4.50 all in

Turn: ($21.65) T (2 players - 1 is all in)

River: ($21.65) 9 (2 players - 1 is all in)

CO is 30/13 8.0 3bet after only 67 hands. So his 3bet stat isn't really reliable. But my thought was he posted then 3bet, I was like "Really? In your first hand?"

BU however cold called the 3bet. He is an aggro spewy LAG who has been hitting a lot. He is 94/44 after 26 hands or so and gets it in a lot on the flop.

So this is where it gets interesting. Should I have 4bet preflop? We are deep and I want to get more money in and build a side pot vs the BU.

But what stopped me is, if we 4bet and CO 5bets allin, we're ****ed vs AA**. And there are no assurances that BU will come along. So what do you guys think?

On the flop we have TPTK + some outs to two pair, but I hate the fact that it's two tone. Anyway what do you think of the check/shove on the flop? Villain unlikely has AA**, I think. And is the SPR low enough to justify in getting it in?

So I did some simulations on PPT with our hand vs different hands and ranges. This one hand stood out:

Just wow, I didn't realize an FD + a couple of backdoor outs have good equity here.

Put top pair + FD his equity goes up to 60, and more so if he really did have AA**.

It's a very marginal spot. And I don't think villain will cb vs 2 opponents without at least a pair + an FD.

This is a poorly played hand.

this is a bad play. you have 0 fold equity and vs. a 8% 3beting range you are crushed assuming that he gives up his total misses like kqjt and doesnt bet close to pot with low spr on the flop.

Made my day, there's nothing like an honest self-evaluation

I think your mistake was 4 betting a guy whose PFR is 13% his range is heavily weighted twoards AAxx or a hand similar to yours with a flush draw, Or he has a Ace with middling cards when a passive player puts money in you better have close to the nuts

I didn't 4bet. I thought about it as mentioned, but decided to just call the 3bet.

Looking at it again, I don't think it's a 'poorly played hand'. The SPR is 2, so we need 40% equity on the flop to get it in. Vs his TP + FD, and other FD + backdoor outs we have more or less around that.

But it's a marginal spot for sure.
