10PLO - Big Draw v Fish

Villain is 40/10 fish over 40 hands. No significant reads.

Questions:
1) Is this a fold pre?
2) Potraise on flop ok?
3) Assuming turn is standard?

1)No.
2)Calling vs. fish. He will call if you hit.
3)Depens which kind of fish you have against.

I think folding pre is okay here, non nutted hand oop with short stacks behind sucks. If I really wanted to
Play it I think small 3 b is better for us.

I prefer calling on flop, ideally SB will tag along with weak stuff

I think it looks good.

Isn't our hand so strong that we want to get in alot of money now and have it multiplied by our massive equity? Villain can have alot of hands that c/f on flush turns/rivers etc.

I'd agree if our hand was a bit weaker.

Re: 10PLO - Big Draw v Fish

Let's be more specific about the draw: it's a 16-card wrap, of which only 9 outs are to the nuts. The other outs give you a non-nut straight, or make a higher flush possible.

The trouble with raising the flop is that you get absolutely creamed by the nut flush draw, which nobody is folding here (because your range is full of wraps). I would be calling the flop and re-evaluate the turn when stacks are still deep.

Preflop is OK but this hand is poor if people call behind you (you have so many gaps that you will make a lot of non-nut straights). , I would consider 3betting to isolate but again the hand is a bit weak with nearly 200BB behind. There's no real 'wrong' answer preflop tho (fold, call, raise all OK)

Raise pre to clean up outs. Obv a higher fd with connecting cards isn't folding but we still have to raise here. We can't let Ac8c5d2h in for one raise and a call giving him good odds to draw to a flush. If we call we potentially get at least the sb and bb coming along and that's not what we want with a non nutty hand.

Like flop and turn.

I assume he had AT... if so, move on. I think you played the hand fine.

superstandard hand. An argument could be made for isolating pre but at 25PL and under I'm not sure it' s optimal.

Re: 10PLO - Big Draw v Fish

With a passive fish in the hand folding this hand preflop that deep is not using good oprotunities to make profit.
Calling at least if players in LP 3bet alot or are good/aggro you can make a rare case of folding pre, but i usually dont.

There is even the possibility of 3betting this hand if players in late pos are really tight fold alot. Get it HU IP against villain.

Flop standard.

Wp imo.
