Early in the tourney.
Villian seems a fish what his stats reflect.

I used to play very aggressive, but now I`m kinda rebuilding my game, trying to hand select better and click less postflop.
Thus it was a bit shocking session, either I was running bad or obv did something wrong. Up to this hand I`ve won just once wsf [1/10] and ran with AF=1

He steals 23% [7/30], cbets 40% [6/15] with AF=2, turn cbet 1/1 with AF = 1.38 on a small sample.

Do you like flop?
thoughts on turn?
river plans?

I`ve done some sims, seems like I`m flipping or slightly behind solid proceeding ranges (if I c/r flop), but I can have like 60% vs wider ranges, however villain usually limped pre, so I thought he hit that texture more often.

If I check the flop, I'm going for the check-raise because:

1.) I don't want villain to hit his flush without paying for it
2.) I want to extract maximum value out of him when he has a set
3.) He could even have J-9 and be willing to call off his stack
4.) If I can force him to fold and not draw out on me, I'll take it. This is far more important than in cash games, because one wrong pot in a tourney could spell disaster.
5.) I can build a pot to fire a large bet on the turn if a blank comes

As played, you need to check-raise the turn. Make a large pot-sized raise.

Calling flop seems standard given stack sizes.

Not raising turn vs this kind of player who can do this with all sorts of sets/two pairs/flush draws would be criminal.

Checkraising flop would be terrible imo

He has a set or some kind of Ac with !J often enough to make check raise on flop a good play. Flatting is fine aswell but of course you are check raising now.

But villain owns us on so many turns and rivers and getting freerolled for tournament life has to be so ugly

Yawn hand. Flop call is fine. You should probably be happy to go ahead and rip it in now on this Perfect turn card

Seems like there is 17/45 cards for the turn to be bad, of course this is upper weight because he will block himself somewhat, so we can say 30/45 times we can double barrel indiscriminately. Just because much of his range can 'profitably' call (>1/3 <1/2). Actually there is hard to see link here in why it's best toi see in gradients rather than pot odds. There are always spots where both players are 'making money' but always the money ends up belonging to one person.

terrible is a bit harsh, you can attack these boards by check raising smallish by 3xing over cbets, mayve smaller like 2.5 xing, and get a tonne of folds, so doing this with the nuts is a good thing

yeah, but still we have negative freeroll vs some part of his range.
And this line is consistent with that part.
However, this exact villain still might bet sets against which we have better equity ott.

Do you think its much easier c/pot otf with the hand like AKQJ!cc?
