Villain is a LAG HU player, but for the sake of this discussion I'd like to look at this spot in a vacuum.

I am unsure how to play flop.

we have a 51% equity advantage vs his range before we do anything, and it seems like we have a lot of overpair+flush draw, wraps, and naked over pairs in our range. How do you guys go about playing the naked over pairs (no bdfd) in situations like this?

i've started to 3b less than pot to induce lighter 4bets and keep my range still not so easy to read vs lags.

    +1 c/f

I run into spots like this so often as well. Just yesterday I was thinking about a similiar hand where I open UTG with AdAcTd3d, a pretty snug BTN reg flat calls my 3x open and we go two ways to the flop. Btw both me and V are150 BB deep.

Flop is 5c8sKd, I check and the BTN bets 1/2 pot, I call (perhaps instead of calling i should be 3 betting in this spot?)

Turn is 10h, I check and BTN fires again for 3/4 pot. I fold....sigh smh...I feel like I run into these spots so much lol. I was trying to be a good community member and search the archives for similar posts before I started a new thread. Well here we go...Anybody want to discuss OP post or mine?

In regards to OP, obviously I am not really sure how to answer your question but if I was to take a guess I have to think folding is not a bad choice HOWEVER doesn't that make us pretty exploitable? I mean if you go around just check folding bad flops and only check/raising or leading on dry boards doesn't that make us rather predictable? I think we have to mix in some check raises or floats this deep or else we are just going to get steamrolled. I could be wayyyyy off with this but it is just my two cents. Anybody else?

I can't imagine c/f being optimal. You can c/f to exploit villain's overly aggressive turn/river play (but not maniacal where c/c would be clearly better) or you can c/f to this sizing but c/c or maybe even c/r other sizings. In a vacuum though, giving up on hands that have 51% equity on the flop just seems bad. We should be 3betting AKQ hands and even weaker overpairs plenty, so we aren't even near the bottom of our range here.

While we have ok equity I think this hand might be in the lower half of our range, especially in terms of playability. We'll have wraps, 2pairs, flush draws and even overpairs with pairs/gutshots/backdoor draws.
