Hehe, it's on my "to-do"-list, but pretty low down - as most things involving hardware and screwdrivers, lol

Once I no longer win every pot, and my brain is already somewhat exhausted, I start fearing the downswing. I'm not "worried" about the downswing, but it's still gnawing at the back of my mind.

I've learned that this is a good time to leave the tables and take a long break, preferably come back the next day. Poker is a game of hunting for weakness and mistakes, and when you start turning from predator to prey, it's obv a bad idea to keep playing. Never stay on to play defense.
I was browsing and just got to this post. Very simple concept but just phenomenally worded. Cheers!

thx

I wish I was able to abide by that more, my last 2 sessions started going downhill after I was hell-bent on chasing a 20k day. Was up 10k in both with solid EV after first 90mins or so, first one ended down 3k, and in the second I went back to BE and climbed back to +9k. All that stress with very little to show for it, lol

Not saying I tilted or anything, but A-game was def slipping. You just can't ever force results, as I'm in the process of learning

Obviously we're playing very different stakes, making it what seems like a very different game, but JFC that redline is pure sex. Yes, I've read your Red Line Envy thread and all that and I've definitely been suffering from FPS which is suicide at the micro's...so I know I shouldn't be shooting for your stats but if you don't mind, what does your VPIP/PFR/3B look like during a session that ends with your redline that much higher than your SD winnings?
Thanks

nothing particularly interesting in my basic preflop stats, 31/21/8

WTSD% is 22, though, which might be more telling, lol. I play a lot of deep ante, which explains it too. Easy to play several 5-figure pots during a session at 10/20 ante.

This was my liftoff for a real mind opening approach to PLO. I always thought I was being too aggro and getting out of line too often and this help balance that approach. When I read that we need to spew to learn it just enhanced my vision at the table to never take a hand off which is what I kinda interpret in some of the posts asking on how to open up their game. It also gave me a bunchhhhh of confidence to trust in my logic behind hand reading and it has developed me to really beat people up and put everyone in a tough spot as much as possible. Since the well hasn't closed, in these last five years, can you explain your proudest moment of being a parent? Also what do you feel to this point has become outdated and has progressed the game, assuming you are still playing. As for me I play in a 1-2-5 plo with a 100 min 500 max, All to often I find myself trying to exploit dead money when action goes like such, several limps I open lets say all of my range to pot 30-35 a call or two and the 100 stack jams and we get one or two calls too us, assuming we are 700-1k effective should we be trying to isolate the dead money 100%? I find myself constantly flipping and getting deep in the games which isn't a problem but I'm wondering whats the best approach when the dead money becomes a huge factor.

In case you didn't know, GGaRJ has gone from PLO to politics so don't get upset if he doesn't reply to you soon, or try messaging him on Facebook or here on 2+2 (I guess, he still has email notifications about 2+2 PMs set up).
