Does anyone think that WPT television coverage has become below average? Of the fifty minutes we get per episode (approx. 10 minutes of commercial breaks, maybe more) I feel like 20-25 of it is poker and the other 25 is some form of "WPT on the Road" or "Season 10 Players to Watch" and it's all become a bit too much filler that's just not needed when the reason we tune in at all is to watch actual poker hands. The Royal Flush Girls segments are absolutely god awful despite how hot they can be. It just completely deviates from why we're watching in the first place... POKER. Not to mention that each final table now lasts three episodes is a little ridiculous
The Raw Deal with Tony Dunst is the absolute best segment they have though and should be there for as long as the WPT exists.
Maybe I'm alone on this, but just wanted to hear others thoughts on this. I watch poker on TV all the time and I think the WSOP on ESPN absolutely kills WPT coverage. I find myself fast forwarding to the live poker action and the Raw Deal and literally skipping everything else.
I think the current format is the best ever. They have 3 episodes for each event. They take a little time to review the action before the Final TV Table. I think Tony does a great job in his analysis and commentary on "The Raw Deal" In Episode 1 of the Venice event, he was wonderfully brutal ripping into the guy who accused his opponent of a slow roll.
Getting to know a few new personalities is good. It sets up the future stars of the game rather than just seeing the Final TV Table.
Commercials are just part of Commercial TV. And integrating Cheerleaders (Royal Flush Girls) might be a waste, but is OK.

Personally I don't mind the ones to watch segment, it's quite interesting to see how they are doing in a cash league table. However am I correct in thinking that some people carried over from last years? Surely you can't be a one to watch again - better off picking a fresh batch of players.
