His 3-bet looks incredibly strong and if an opponent still 4-bets, I don't like 55 against that players range.

I do those shows 'as live' and sometimes after the fact, I realize I've made a mistake. In this case, it's close, but on further examination, I still don't like the push with 55.
Thanks a lot for replying David

Can't compare with Norman Chad or Kape Kaplan for entertainment. I think Phil Galfond and Ike are the nuts for some advanced commentary, and Esfandiari is somewhat in the middle; his analysis is good, but he still caters to a more 2nd level analysis for more recreational watchers, but it's still good none the less.

I've always wished Joe Rogan knew poker well and commentated it; would be excellent I think.

I loved to hear Luke comment on the Party NLHE episodes, so refreshing to hear someone who actually knows what he is talking about, and who doesn't bother trying to be nice explaining it. ^^

Re: Who do you believe are the Best Commentators?

Nice posts. I've actually opted to watch more of the live streams with no hole cards lately. Interesting, however, is that the majority (mainly recreational players) think this is idiotic, but I value how analysts/commentators try to construct ranges and not be constrained to such biases from the hole card cam.

And actually ya this too. I love it how he just shoots Jesse May down instead of trying to be nice about him asking dumb**** questions :>

I thought A. Esfandiari was great. Ike voice makes me uber tilt but he is good too.

I thought Jonathon Little's commentary on live stream of WPT (forget which tourney) was good.

William Reynolds definately, compliments james hartigan well
Finds that balance of been amusing/very informative.

People mention James Hartigan, but he makes a lot of mistakes especially in the wcoop 2008 highlights which i have been watching in its entirety

Yesterday i was watching the wcoop 2008 $1050 FLH and he said that vanessa rousso was planning to check raise the river with the queen diamonds, with 4 diamonds on board, never in a million years was she.

Some of his analysis is very sketchy

I have no recollection of that show - lol!

However, this example demonstrates perfectly why lead commentators should never be asked to do analysis!!!

Re: Who do you believe are the Best Commentators?

Greg Raymer's commentary on the early EPT's i liked when i first started watching and learning poker. It was not to advanced for the beginner and not to basic for the novice player. Always talking about the fundamentals and being patience and discliplined
