I think now the poker boom is over and we have the ocean of fish. Some of you have chosen to educate the fish to line your own pockets but I say no more and we should ban TV coverage to stop the fish who already play from picking up hints and tips from the likes of Ivey, Dwan and EDog.

The same goes for training sites, it makes the games boring and predicatble with people playing "ABC" poker. We should stop helping people solve NLH and maybe show poker players gambling on other sports on TV to show that poker players are just gamblers and then the fish will gamble more with marginal hands.

EDIT: Beat to that, but TV is pretty much crucial to get people to play poker online. Having Durrr make (seemingly) crazy plays on TV is very very good for low stakes grinders. TV will never show the hours of analysis required to successfully make these plays so there is nothing to ever worry about WRT to TV.

TV Cash games have done a lot more to bring new fish in than they have done to educate fish.

if they stopped showing poker on TV, there would be alot less newer fish.

I have only played up to 50nl, but FWIW most regs were breakeven/losing players at all these levels.

I can totally square up where you guyz are coming from. Honestly I can.

But when your grinding and you have a high stakes poker game on the TV and it finishes, do you ever think...that helped? Of course you don't, it makes no difference to you.

It just lines the pockets of kid poker and phil hellmuth etc. Funny how the same pool of legends play so often, your quick to abuse hellmuth but dwan, ivey, edog and mike the mouth all play them too.

Just think about what im saying, if we stopped them playing poker but made new niche programmes for poker players which showed their favourite pros playing sick prop bets then maybe the games would loosen up?

Tv poker Shouldn't be abolished if anything places like 2+2 that give fish strategy should stop fishes become better. I'd be donating money again and claiming the site is rigged if it wasn't for 2+2 along with many other people.
