Re: In Time (justin timberlake) - another ridiculous poker scene
I just watched this movie and had to come on here to see if there was a thread about it. I tried to explain to my non poker playing friends why it was so bad and they were just like what???

i think this scene is 100x worse than casino royale.
Hadn't seen the casino royale scene in awhile so went back to watch it.... LOL !!!!!
First guy show's the Ace High flush, second guy shows eights full, 3rd guy shows Aces full and bond shows the straight flush. I had always thought the main villain guy had quads for some reason. Also LOL at the big black guy emphatically making the sign of 5 million with his hand when the bet ahead of him was for 6 as if it's a big deal that he's all in for less. God this scene is just loltastic. Gotta love the slow rolls too. Ohh yeah and could never really tell if it was a tournament or cash game. Cash-a-ment is what me and my buddy would always call it.
For those that want their memory refreshed or just have another good laugh...

LOL at JT playing for his entire liferoll against a player with an infinite bankroll. The 1/12 pot size turn bet was by far the funniest part of the hand. Also, his opponent wasn't necessarily weak as he held the third nuts. All in all, still an enjoyable scene.

Its gotta be a cash game unless they started the 9 man or whatever tournament with like 15 million worth of chips. So with that in mind i think its a cash game....
And LOL the 1 million BB and each them having like only 20 million and under for each in front of them at the start of the hand.

The dealer made a bad error in the hand because he mucked the Japanese guy's Ace King flush after the Eights full was shown. OK so that would be normal except the Eights full is in for 5 million but Japanese guy covers by 1 million.
Dudes behind not necessarily beating Ace King flush for the million on the side pot, but dealer mucks before the hands are shown.
Also the hands should be shown clockwise from the last aggressor. In this case, Bond's hand should be shown first and all other players hands could then be mucked without giving away any information.
Also Bond should be told "please don't splash the pot, sir".
