God I hate Selbst, no ****ing class whatsoever. Saying "nice hand" does not prevent you from being the rudest bitch in the world if you saying while making that horrible scowling face.

Selbst is well known to pull a 6 bet shove with a variety of holdings....King high not being out of the question. I think given the opponent and the situation the call is good....just my opinion

seeing someone 6 bet shove on a couple of occasions is not a reason to call their shove with A9

that's like saying you saw someone run two bluffs in their life you hero call them on every river...

if you're confident of your edge over the table/field and player you shouldn't try to get in spots like that don't u think?

He's doing her a favor by making that terrible call... a lot of the times he is crushed there and Selbst picks up a lot of chips. She just happened to have a flip-type hand. If opponents are calling off their stack with A9o, I am counting my lucky stars, not complaining that they are "going after me".

A couple of occasions? The fact is she is well known for doing this on MANY occasions. You can't keep making that play and then throw a hissy fit when someone makes a good call with less than aces.

He's ahead of alot of the junk that she often makes that play with, and flipping against low pairs (against which he's getting a great price to call).

Your last sentance makes no sense to me... Selbst is undeniably a great player, and so looking for spots to exploit her is tough but that was one of them! You've gotta make some tough calls to beat decent players like that.

I missed it last week..Great hand...Cringy the way Mcphee is tlaking about the hand before folding and way he happens.

Really awkward...Obviously their friends though so they'll get over it but thats generally a bad call ?

Generally it is a bad call, but he spoke through the hand, explaining his though process, and he was pretty much right in this spot.

I think it was a great call on his part, knowing how she plays. I'm just laughing she has the gall to be upset as she's shoving on 44. I've never seen this chick happy, I'm not sure why she plays poker.

More importantly, I hate players who whine when they get outplayed, or when their little plans fall apart. He had her read perfectly, and she paid for it. I mean, this is professional poker - why are you whining about anything? Where does it say I have to fold to your bet - whatever it is, and whatever I have?

As for a "friend going after her" - WTH? This is a MONEY game. I am supposed to let you have my money because we're supposed to be buddies? I don't think so.
