recent cash game coverage? recent cash game coverage?

Hello,

I've pretty much watched every episode of the older cash game shows, from a few years back...High Stakes Poker, Million Dollar Cash Game, Poker After Dark, and others from that era...(amazing how old they seem, despite some being only 5 or 6 years old, huh???)

In those games, with those players, I feel that while the play educational and fun to watch, the style is dated, or so people seem to say on Youtube and elsewhere, eh?

Are there any currently televised live, full ring, high stakes cash games?

Twitch is your friend---PokerNightTV (Poker Night in America), StonesLivePoker, LiveatheBike, jcarverpoker, nanonoko and PokerStars. Also Doug Polk and Alec Torelli are all over YouTube these days, but are usually "hand of the day" type 10-15 minute videos and not actual games.

The PokerNightTV cash games from March 17 and 18 are pretty decent & you can watch them whenever under "past broadcasts" on Twitch.

25/50 is not really high stakes! and those "hand of the day" and similar things are full of ****ty music, ****ty graphics, ridiculous over-the-top production, and really just a bunch of questionable opinions... I think Torelli's stuff isn't *that bad*, if you can get past the fluffy stuff and his long-windedness (some of those hands take over 15 minutes, I mean, come on...) Doug Polk is very hard to take seriously...you take him seriously? Jonathan Little has moments, and is a little more sedate, but...in fact, I don't think his approach is so good for live cash games..he's a tournament specialist.

When you watch Jesus, Kid Poker, Dolly, The Magician, Durrrrr, No Home Jerome, The Poker Brat, Farha, Patrik Antonius, Mercier, Veldhuis, Mike The Mouth, Galfond, and so on, duke it out for real big money, you learn plenty of real stuff..not opinions. Funny I've not seen Polk or Torrelli or Jonathan Little on any of those shows...they are not at that level.

It's easy to spout off opinions and play fairly high stakes when you are a trust-fund kid who spends his time flying around the world with his girlfriend, but until I see Alec playing 300/600+ with the big boys I remain skeptical.

Anyways, thanks for the reply...

You are welcome---I don't know of any current high stakes games. Unless poker booms again or GSN restarts High Stakes Poker, it seems unlikely that they'll run again. Post here if you find any.
