eh, i'd say high probability that guy would end up being sort of douchey like troy. not the kind of LC i have in mind and i'm not sure what makes you think he'd be fun to watch. he could be a perfectly nice guy, but just making a snap judgment based on that video i'd guess he's bad but thinks he's great and takes himself too seriously, probably not a great sense of humor. again, sounds like troy to me. he gets the edge if he doesn't try to rap though

I saw taht! whoazz!

Seriously tho, I agree w blanko about the DB potential, and I didn't see Troy's audition vid but if he's anything like that kid, no ty. Vid was pretty funny tho, and hard to say either way if he'd be all serious or not- he seems more confident than Troy anyway. I think the vid was meant to look all serious tho, kinda see the humor in it.

Funny how Negreanu is talking about PH being a bad cash game player, when Negreanu is clearly the biggest fish at the table(apart from LC obv).

I'll take Negreanu over PH.

In tournaments and cash games.

His call on the river was fine too imo. As played Hellmuth either had air(busted flush) or hit running 8s.
hellmuth is the donkey-wizard. he just isnt ever bluffing there like that, full pot. say about what you want about hellmuth but he knows how to play against amateurs.

So you think he was a dick for not letting a AH run his mouth and try to embarrass him? I was glad someone finally stood up to PH, PH thinks just because he is the poker brat it gives him the rights to be the biggest DB in poker. Just because PH admits he is a AH does not give him the right to be a AH. Dani was great, played great and I hope we see more of him and less of PH.

Actually, though, if you reread my post, you'll see that I didn't say anything to indicate that I "seriously understand the mental/emotional status" of Phil. Although I claimed that he has emotional problems, I gave no indication of what those problems are. But it's easy to think that someone who frequently behaves as he does (throwing chairs, or sulking in a corner in a fetal position) about everyday matters (such as a bad beat) has emotional problems. DUCY?
All Phil's problems came from bad parenting, plain and simple. His parents didn't discipline him when he was young and explain how to act. It is never going to change, so every time he goes on a rant it show what a db he is and what bad parents he had when growing up.

DN is an excellent TV personality - I suspect the majority of his income is from appearance fees rather than poker. His job on poker shows, I believe, is more to entertain than play great poker. A+ to DN.

The PH / Stern dynamic was fantastic comedy - it made the show very entertaining.

I notice that PH never rebuys - I suspect UB funds his 100K and anything beyond that must come from his own pocket.

god worst LC player yet. not hard to believe on online qualifiers. DN table talk was ridiculous this week, he was acting like the LC had never even played poker

Smooth plug Joe.
I caught this for sure, and it likely went over Chris Rose's head. But again, no one would know what he was talking about unless they were already aware of the show to begin with. It was more like an inside joke than a plug.

Wow, that would be amazing if they went back in time 15 years and filmed it there.

You are the 3rd or 4th person to notice this. I watched all 5 episodes recently, and didn't notice it once. I am fearful of watching the best of episode because I am 100% certain I will be exposed to it, now that I am aware of it.

Guess it helps to be playing while watching this.

I don't think anyone has ever done this.

Edit:
Just watched Nadia's audition video, and in the mock HU match, the guy pushes all in on the river w/ KK vs her trup QQ (starts at the 42 second mark)

Thanks for providing the link. I've never watched an audition video before. I imagined it as someone sitting in a chair in his or her living room with a canned speech. The time and expense she spent in creating a professional video impressed me.

I am pretty sure it's a one day thing. Usually players are instructed to refer to yesterday and a few days ago when in reality it was a few hours ago. They all wear the same clothes the whole show anyway.
I think you are wrong about the gaming license, if you collect a rake or charge the players a time rake you need a license but if it is free it would be legal. Home games for any amount are legal in NV as long as there isn't a rake.
