yes, stern should of mucked to a pot size bet cos LC is never potting it with mid pair or any draw (apart from multi-combo draws) but there are very few hand combinations of them meaning its very unlikely. LC is crushing sterns range whilst given Stern no real great implied odds!!
I guess you forgot the hand where he open shoved for about 4x pot with second pair no kicker.

its fine to play aggressive but hes not picking his spots well and thus bloating huge pots where he has small equity

edit again: his comment vs prahlad about "why didnt you just shove preflop" on the AK vs JJ hand is indicative of the tourney mentality, where 5 bet shoving JJ vs a loose opponent would be the right play, but in cash games it usually isnt
Keep in mind that he made his way to the tournament circuit by grinding FR cash games online, so I'm sure he has the fundamentals already. It also seems pretty foolish to judge his style based on just a few hands.

Also I'm pretty sure Ivey didn't snapcall that bet, IIRC he took at least 20 seconds? Maybe thats a snap call in a live setting....

Oh yeah and Ansky props to the way you handled Phil. **** the haters

in all honesty, i thought the biggest douche of the episode was daniel. he was being a condescending assclown to the lc who clearly had no idea, and openly laughed it up, and then constantly tried to snipe at hellmuth as if looking for acceptance from his new 'internet player' buddies, when in reality PH owned him in the pots they played. that being said, Hellmuth as usual was just being ridiculous, i fcukin loved seeing Ansky going in there and taking the piss. don't see why everyone is like 'came across as a douche', clearly just a good internet player whos seen hellmuth prance around like a pampered princess on tele despite actually being an average no limit player and decided to give him some well needed needle. fcukin good on him.

Not to mention that Ivey call was pretty absurd without some kind of live read

Yup I said this last week I don't need to or care to watch DN being on half the shows or more, his act is old and he's not a great cash game player like Ivey or Dwan being on all the episodes off HSP.

I understand with HSP, as GSN doesn't have an HD channel afaik, but FOX should be pumping this up!
It's been hi-def on Fox Sports Florida since the return from the first hiatus.

I like the LC concept. Not sure if the pot limit pre-flop is having the desired result. Perhaps the LC should be able to go all-in anytime or when under a specified stack size.

We want to see how an LC PLAY poker with the pros, not flipping 100K preflop because its a free-roll for him.

I don't think we should be too hard on either Phil or Dani. We should cut Phil some slack because he has made changes that allow him to function under stress. We should wish him well and hope that he continues to make progress.

Phil bought Dani a bottle of Dom. Dani eventually apologized to Phil. Phil acknowledged the apology, and said, "You called me stupid back." Dani said, "It was immature." And they were cordial to each other.

Dani is still young. Give him a break. I'm sure he'll learn something from this incident. In retrospect, he could have responded differently. It's easy to find improvements when not in the heat of the moment. What were some alternatives?
1. He could have replied in a Forrest Gump voice, "Stupid is as stupid does." I could never do this without getting teeth knocked out, but some people might be able to pull it off and get a laugh.

2. He could have said, "Well, I don't think I like being called stupid, Phil." That's a paraphrase of something Phil Gordon once said. Both he and the other party would probably prefer to let it lie, so we will.
If we think about these things before the situation, it's easier to wade out way through it. I believe it comes with age.
