So action goes like this, 5-10 with live 25 straddle, 5 calls including the blinds, straddle raises to 325. Player after him shoves for 425. 2 calls, SB folds, bb shoves 1020. Can the straddle repop it? He wasnt fully raised by the utg+1 who shoved less then a full raise but was fully raised from the BB.

To answer this question, all you have to do is ask this question: Is he facing a full raise?

If the answer is yes, he may re-raise. If the answer is no, he may not re-raise.

His raise was $300, so he needs to be facing a total bet of $625 ($300 more than his bet) before he is allowed to re-raise. It doesn't matter how we got to that $625. It only matters that we got there.

I think you're confused by the short all-in that's between them. His jam of 425 is not a raise, but anyone can still raise the straddle's 325.

What if BB had shoved for $600 total? ... $275 over straddler raise, $175 over the all-in, 50% rule?

What if BB had shoved for $625 total? ... $300 over straddler raise, $200 over all-in, full raise, 50% rule?

What if BB had shoved for $700 total? ... $375 over straddler, $275 over all-in.

What if BB had shoved for $725 total? ... $400 over straddler, $300 over all-in? (Ok, this one is easy.)

What is BB min-raise amount? $625 or $725?

I think the rulings here will be all over the map and that although you may get a correct ruling, it might be for the wrong reason. GL

My understanding is that it would be to $725. He was raised 300 by the straddler, so he would have to raise the current bet, 425, by 300.


Of course, there is only one correct ruling and you have all the correct rulings, for all the right reasons.

See Angus's response. It is all correct. BB's minimum total bet is $725 if he wants to raise. He must raise at least $300 over the last bet.
