Under 5% of the 2011 Main Event field is female but that doesn’t make poker pro Amanda Musumeci any less dangerous.
Female poker players are easily over represented on TBG (and TV poker in general), in comparison to their actual numbers, not the opposite.

All those quotes are attributed to me the way you pieced them together, but
my only actual quotes are # 2 (show was cancelled) and the last one you listed.
I actually agree with your percentage stats... but my point was that not ALL WOMEN will be drawn equally from any given pool to play poker on TV; it is quite specifically fairly attractive women.
In context, I was saying that there are many more men that one could say are physically unattractive that are on poker shows, but even some great lady pro's don't make the cut, because of age, size etc. I don't even want to say "physically unattractive" but just more "regular Joe", everyday peeps.
Of the 4 women chosen to be on the Big Game, for example, 2 were very pretty,in their mid- twenties, one was a 30's, pretty hot Russian milf (lol)and
one we still haven't seen, but I think is pretty OK looking too, from what I can tell.
