Hahahahahaha so gold.

In the latest 90210 episode, Dixon's getting to be a bit of a gambling degen and has started up and underground poker game... In the one big hand they show between rivals Dixon and some douche baseball captain he doesn't like, we catch the action as it's just headed to the river, board is now:

A Q Q 5 Q

Dixon looks coy, then announces "I'm all in" - and pushes his chips forward. Douche baseball guy smiles wryly and says "Hmm... I'll match that" - and pushes in the chips, then says "AND RAISE YOU SIX THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED" .. and pushes in the rest of his chips.

Dixon loos kinda FML then says "Well I don't have that on me... can you give me a marker?"

AHAHAHHA... ask for a marker from the guy who just shoved over your all in ?!

Guy goes "Yeah sure" ... Dixon goes "Well okay" and turns over AKcc and goes "Full House !" and everyone goes "ooooooooohhhh! yeah!!" and they start high fiving each other.

Then the guy epic slowrolls and goes "Ohhh.... nice hand ! .......... Unless.... DOES FOUR QUEENS BEAT A FULL HOUSE?" and slams down KQhh

Such an awesome sequence :>

Cliffs:
- lol @ OP for watching 90210
- Notwithstanding the above, 90210 has some awesome noob poker scenes.

Should have made it an AAQQK board with the hero holding pocket queens instead, imo ;-)

Love the dialogue. When will writers realize that all you have to say is "raise"?

Movie poker is nothing without shameless stringbetting and slowrolling. The raise over the all in is simply priceless though, I mean come on???

I watched this show maybe twice and literally felt sorry for the actor who plays Dixon, what with the toxic mess the 90210 reboot is compared to The Wire, where he played Michael Lee.

The Wire is the greatest show ever, but you can be sure he's making a buttload more money from 90210 - so don't feel too bad for him :P

Please say this is on youtube somewhere, sounds epic.

I just got Casino Royale on blu-ray and of course first thing I did was put on the poker game. Really is just awful.

wait, if villain can raise Dixon's allin, then Dixon should reraise him with the nuts, no? ;-)

to be fair, no limit originally had no cap, which only became popular when it was legalized in casinos

basically this episode was set in the early 1900s

Reminds of the Prison Break poker game where T-Bag raises the evil guy more then he has in his stack so he is forced to fold

I have just started watching Prison Break, so today was watching "Bluff" episode, where they were playing some kind of pat 5 card draw and the guy shoves allin with 3 queens and C note (one of the PI gang) SHOVES over the top as a bluff and when the guy doesn't have more money on him he is forced to fold...

Also, the way he does it, saying "i'll match that"....pause...plus i raise you 74 dollars more (or something like that, don't have it in front of me to check the exact numbers.

What kind of a bull**** is that?

If poker was played like that in the past, then the richest man in town could always shove his networth and everyone else would be forced to fold, because they couldn't match it.

Found this thread by googling it, was sure it was ridiculed somewhere on poker forums...
