Has anyone watched the new poker central 24 hr channel? I like it but those damn excessive commercials are killing me. Its like one right after the other

Yup. i watched as well. and the Commercials are killing the channel. Beyond Excessive. Understand that need sponsorship but this is ridiculous. Hand, Commercial, Hand, Commercial, Hand, Commercial.

Better to sell that commercial time that they are using for promotions for pennies as it would at least make the channel look more legitimate.

They had "real" commercials the first couple weeks and now, I believe, nothing or next to nothing. Pity.

I downloaded it for my One a few days ago.

I'm enjoying it, and while the repetitive commercials are annoying it's not a deal-breaker for me. You don't have to watch the commercials every time.

But they have been making efforts - I've noticed some new commercial content over the past couple days. Seems like they're trying to keep things fresh.

As poker is being seen as a Sport, like Basketball, NFL etc etc. All I see are commercials. I'm from The Netherlands myself and got loads of american sport channels but most of the times you get thrown dead with commercials. Like every couple minutes they have to show some ****ty commercial it's so annoying.

To stay ontopic. I do really like the show.

Unless there is a corporate sponsor of a program or you are watching a subscription service like HBO, commercials are what I see as a small price to pay for entertainment.

Best poker show since High Stakes Poker, though not as good as High Stakes Poker. Shulman is a GREAT analyst, but I would like to hear some variance and excitement in his voice.

Maybe when it is done, PokerCentral can put up the same show on their channel using different commentators. Jessie May can't be too busy.

True true. But I see commercials after every play haha. So sometimes it's so annoying, especially when you are watching a very close game. Its like you're stuck in a cliffhanger every 1 minute lol

When you say "commercials" do you mean actual commercials? I ask because I only see promo after promo and ZERO commercials.

I wonder if they target the commercials (if that is what you are seeing) to the jurisdiction from which you are watching (or not show them to me for the same reason).

Do tell please.

Some Fish Lure.
Deal Dash.
Colonial Penn.

Those are just a few I have seen.

Wow, I am watching on Roku from Canada and I have seen ZERO commercials since the first month of its operation.

Trust me, I would rather watch commercials than the same 5 promos over and over and over and over again (the one with the guy eating wasabi and then trying to hide his poker face has now been burned into my mind as I believe I saw it 8 times during one hour of the SHR Cash Game with it often doubled up in the same break).

Yeah, I have seen the Wasabi commercial quite a bit too though as well as the golds offer girlfriend with the guy who wins a scratch off lottery.

The wasabi commercial is actually the best one IMO

Yeah they don't have full episodes VoD.

New episodes on Wednesday night, I think 9PM central and they play previous episodes before. I think this will be the 3rd episode.

And on Tuesday's they post highlights of Wednesday's episode, they posted 5 4 minute videos for this week's episode already, that's like half the show!

Episode 1-4 were available this morning for on demand viewing.

The first episode seemed to have some repeated content in it (encoding glitch??), but I was sick and half asleep, so I might've sat on the remote or something.
