Just finished watching season 7. I was thinking about how I would rank the field in terms of skill level IN THIS FORMAT, and I ended up making a list based not off results but what I think is the order of skill level they displayed over the course of the season. Let me know what you guys think about this:

-Top Tier-
1. Seiver - love his post flop play and the way he really understood the format more than anyone else. ie: chip dumping to Duhamel. also love how well balanced his ranges are. him and Colman are interchangeable imo
2. Colman - could put him first, plays close to perfect poker...just thought he got a littttttle too aggro in the wrong spots a couple times
3. Rast - sick player with a great feel of when he can bluff

-2nd Tier-
4. Mizzi - not a ton to say, really strong player
5. Esfandiari - ^
6. Gross - was gonna have him higher bc I love the way he changes gears and uses his table image. but had a couple weird spazzes when he got trapped that I didn't understand

-3rd Tier-
7. Duhamel - played a bit ABC, seems like he plays the same as Gross just a little looser
8. Jungleman - obvious he is more of a cash game player from watching, easy to induce predictable bluffs from
9. Selbst - ran like **** but I didn't have any huge qualms with her play

-Bottom Tier-
10. Koon - I know he finished well but just seems to me like he struggles to read opponents and plays too loose-passive preflop for in my liking, wasn't really impressed with him at all tbh
11. Laak - lolz
12. Shak - lolz

Overall, really enjoyed the season, especially when guys like Rast and Colman got in the booth commentating, found them really insightful.

This is neither a "huge over-reaction" nor "just hyperbole."
Think of the good of the game: BAN SCARVES AND SCRIPTS ... NOW!
I'm pretty sure my butt puckers when I run a big bluff. Let's play naked! it's only fair!

lol banning scarves

lol

I agree with this except I would put Esfandiari lower (technically and mathwise not so good) and I would switch Mizzi with Rast. So overall +1.

Maybe we should start by banning guys that cannot pick up on a level, no matter how over-the-top.

wow, Colman was playing REALLY great poker on this show. His huge ship vs mizzi seems spazzy, but when you really think about it, mizzi's calling range here must be insanely tight because of icm (smth like tt+, ak, or maybe even tighter), which probably makes this play +ev. This is assuming payout structure here is somewhat standard, i dont know what is it actually. Btw Colman seem to be making a lot of these overbet preflop shoves (see one drop) and it seems to be working for him, seems like and interesting approach.

this was the last time i don't binge watch something like this. it was great and all, but a finale is a bit of a let-down (if you understand variance plays a big part in the outcome)
