Sure, Gabe's always good. It's just better with a bit of Benza on the side.

Obviously I haven't read the entire post, but I think the Benza v Kaplan rivalry thing is ******ed and not in the least bit funny.

I'd be happy to have Benza back on the show if they dropped the "we hate each other act". Kaplan especially needs to realise that bringing down other people is the lowest form of humor.

I did like how Kaplan would explain some of the finer points of poker to Benza, which was, of course, really an indirect way to "teach" the audience what was going on. That was good.

We'll have to kill this thread....I hear the ratings for this years HSP is way up.

'It seems as if the world of poker is finally getting the spotlight as more and more people give it their attention. One proof of this is the TV show of GSN, High Stakes Poker. Now at its season 6, the show’s ratings were said to be rising rather dramatically'.

'With six episodes of the season released on TV, ratings have been rising rather dramatically for different age groups. The ratings from adults from age 18 to 49 have gone up an impressive 27%, just over these six seasons. Men from ages 25 to 54 are actually the key targets of the show and ratings from the are up by 25%. The fact that they have gone up was a huge cause for celebration for GSN, especially since many advertisers target so this is a big breakthrough'.

Just watched eps 11 and 12,Gabe is starting to really grate on me now,too many silly voices and jokes that need someone to bounce off but instead get left hanging in the ether,I know it's not his fault that he is now flying solo but for me he is badly overcompensating for AJ's absence and it is distracting from the enjoyment of this once great show instead of adding to it.

I don't even listen to those stupid did you know segments. Enough of that already. Also the interviews are pretty worthless. I'm glad Sunday is the last episode. It's the first time I was looking forward to the end of Hsp.

It seems like most people in this thread are saying not that AJ should be brought back, but rather than Gabe needs someone (not necessarily AJ) to talk to.

I'm on board with that; but can't we find someone to be Gabe's partner that isn't AJ?

I'm all for Gabe getting a partner (he sounds so pathetic alone), but against it being AJ.

Ratings are up without him, but that is to be expected with the best poker show.

sorry to say if people didn't bring it up he wouldn't have even been missed. I thought Gabe would need a straight man but I watched and was proven wrong.

Ratings will increase even more with all three next season I think.

Ratings are from Phil Ivey crushing the game, which is what people tune in to see. This is what really sets apart this season from previous ones. Another vote for AJ back next season.

Watching some of season 5 again, and AJ and Gabe's commentary is great together. Bring back AJ Benza!
