Norman Chad: Why? Norman Chad: Why?

I like norman chad, he is funny and he has a decent amount of knowledge in poker. Vince Van patten and AJ Benza are the worst... because they are not funny and they are so dumb in poker. Especially van patten, he just irritates me with sum of the comments he makes.

you need someone like Norman. Who would watch poker shows if you just had some sick stragety talk all the time? No you have to have someone who is funny so its watchable. And at least for me he is unreal funny guy.

Used to hate Norm. Found him extremely annoying.

He has since grown on me and I gotta say I kinda like the dude now.

Gabe is still #1 for entertainment value though, imo.

Some of his jokes are a little corny, but honestly he does make me laugh. I think he's doing just fine. I like Mike Sexton too. It's all good.

Norm is awesome. The WSOP would NOT be the same without him. The duo is perfect for the target audience.

I like the commentators but I do sometimes feel that normans jokes are not that funny, its like he is trying to say something funny all the time, its too forced, it gets annoying sometimes.

Norm, Gabe, and Sexton are all good in their own way. All approach the job differently, and all get it done pretty well.

I used to not like Norm and then I got the stick out of my ass and stopped taking it so seriously. He is quite funny.

I love Norman Chad. How about this line from this year's WSOP when
that lady in the green shirt kept showboating and showboating and showboating:

HER: Do you want me to fold?!?! Say, "Wanda, fold!" Just say "Wanda, FOLD!" and I'll fold!! Do you want a fold?!?!?

NORMAN: Yes, Fold! Quietly!

i think both wsop commentators are terrible, they try too hard to be funny when they're not.

I don't think that means what you think it means. The play-by-play guy is the one that tells what's going on while the color guy tells you why.

Color guys: Gabe, Sexton, Norm, Madden
Corresponding PBP guys: AJ, Vince, Lon, Sommerall

While hilarious, I don't find Norm particularly insightful.

Norman is great. The Valley of Unhappiness made me laugh.

Hellmuth in danger of going out right here. Aces in tough shape. It's a disaster for Phil Hellmuth. Has to ask himself why he didn't reraise pocket aces. Hellmuth is gone.

"And they both beat me! It was unbelievable. These are some of the worst players in the entire world over here."

It's the Valley of Unhappiness.

sexton was good for the beginning of the poker boom and we owe a lot to him

kaplan is the best because he is the funniest and he's a decent player himself

norman chad is not good at poker, sometimes he's funny sometimes he's not funny, but overall he's definitely the best person for what espn does with poker. he provides the entertainment value the casual player/audience is lookin for. i definitely like the guy.

+++ for Norman Chad! He makes me laugh.

I even watched last night for the first time in forever because this thread reminded me how much I like him.
Then I remembered why I stopped watching. All in all in all in all the time. All in before the flop has got to be the most boring thing in poker.

But the bit on What would you give up for a bracelet was good.
I liked the people saying they'd give up the cash just for the bracelet and their place in history. And then Doyle says he's a poker purist, he'll take the cash and give up the bracelet.
