Norman Chad on Hellmuth is just gold.

He is in broadcasting and happens to know how to commentate poker. He is hilarious as well.

Not only he is funny and entertaining, but also even though I don't watch all shows, I don't remember him saying something incorrect about the hands being played. I heard that in a recent show he got the odds wrong once. Big deal.

The people hating on him are probably a bunch of noobs that have recently learned what a "3bet" or a "range" is and are feeling like they are part of an elite now.

They will also hate on any female/old famous player and much more like Gold, Raymer etc...

We've all been there, try to go to the next level now.

Also you probably got into poker because of the WSOP, and you did so because it was entertaining.

Tournament shows are a joke anyway because tournaments are a joke. They're just a smart scam sharks invented to draw fish to cash games.

Actually the guy you responded to was somewhat correct. Casinos all over use tournaments as a way to increase player traffic. It's a way to get them in the door. Not a "scam" but just good business...

Never thought i'd say this, but after 6 yrs or so I don't think he's completely terrible. they're better than the WPT guys and most others...

I agree with your comments but they don't apply to this situation. The WSOP is certainly NOT a scam to draw players into the casino. The daily donkaments absolutely are, but his comments were directed at the WSOP by his first statement of "televised tournaments" or whatever.

If you extend his reasoning, then all of casino poker is a scam to get gamblers into the casino as the house doesn't make nearly the same profit margin off of a poker room as the equivalent square footage of slots.

You kidding? Some of the best play is in the early stages at the outer tables. Screw Chad he is an idiot. Bring in Gabe!

i think he is really funny and entertaining and the wsop-coverage just wouldn't be the same without him.
he is the perfect choice for this format imo.
i hope he will continue to co-host the show for many many years.

Although he's full of groaners and lame one liners, he's still pretty entertaining.

Norman Chad is easily the most entertaining poker commentator out there. He's hilarious, how could you not like him. The main event is my favorite poker show on tv and Norman Chad has a huge play in that opinion.
