negreanu is awesome. it is nothing more than some curse that was placed upon him. i think it goes back to season 1 where he showed up with $1 million and did the interview where he said he was going to show everyone who's the boss.

Eli is very good at picking his spots to raise, and picks people off pretty well. He isn't very aggressive, and you are right, it just works perfect in that game becuase everyone else just bets for him.

It seems like the guys will not go nuts against Eli, because if Eli is in the hand, he has something. Even Dwan slows down against Eli, did you notice how he thought for a second, then said "alright" and checked it down? Great play, because he knew Eli would have looked him up.

Eli plays a solid passive game, and it works.

LOL at Gabe Kaplan saying Daniel needs to bring a bigger bag for his chips (because he is continually having to rebuy after getting stacked lol).

i'm rewatching s3 of HSP, and daniel is commenting in place of gabe. gabe limp/calls with k5s and daniel thinks it is a stupid play, and i say 'but you do it all the f*cking time!'.

To be honest, no one has been cold decked more than Daniel. I'm not sure what season it was, but there was a point where he slammed the table and said "how can I flop the nuts every time and lose" and Eli chimed in that he was indeed getting cold decked.

It reminded me of the beats I've caught in my life. lol. It does indeed seem he has caught some really really bad cards. That quads hand with Gus Hansen still makes me a bit ill.

He slammed the table after Lindgren turned quads on him and shoved the river after Daniel flopped the nut (or second nut) straight.

I dont think he is the worst player on HSP. I also do NOT think that the reason he has lost so much is because he has been repeatedly cold decked. Ok, the Gus hand was a cold one, and Im not saying that they are easy lay downs. But how do you repeatedly put like 200BB into pots that you have no chance of winning. I like DN, and usually root for him, especially in tournaments. Notice how when Ivey, Durrr, Antonius, and Benyamine have hands, they get paid, and they almost never pay off big pots from behind.

HAHA no wonder his video game is called Stacked, cuz that is what is happening to him repeatedly haha!

I will agree though DN has had some 4 outers get there on the river.

He's been running bad for 5 years. That's not a bad run, its playing bad.

Negreano is pretty bad. These players tournament results aren't necessarily impressive since they play in ALL or most of them. Players here who are above avg who maybe never play a big tournament or if they do only the WSOP. If you played in every WPT and WSOP I would bet you'd win more. Negreano has bad leaks. He doesn't trust his instinct. He'll guess your hand Out loud (another mistake) and then he'll still call. Ivey will guess your hand and be correct, then lay it down. Big difference. Also negreano plays too many speculative hands and even calls raises with them. Sunday Matisow who is obviously broke and playing with money that is not his is playing tighter than Dan Harrington. He re-raises Negreano huge pre-flop. A great player can easily lay down 10 10 pre-flop.

Then on the flop. Matusow check raises him his whole stack. You gotta put him on a big hand like AA,KK, QQ, JJ, AK or AQ suited. That means Negreano's only hope is AQ or AK where he still is not the favorite. Easy lay down knowing that matusow is only showing KK all day and playing one hand an episode.
