Eli is very good at picking his spots to raise, and picks people off pretty well. He isn't very aggressive, and you are right, it just works perfect in that game becuase everyone else just bets for him.
It seems like the guys will not go nuts against Eli, because if Eli is in the hand, he has something. Even Dwan slows down against Eli, did you notice how he thought for a second, then said "alright" and checked it down? Great play, because he knew Eli would have looked him up.
Eli plays a solid passive game, and it works.
