i was so stoked even at the mention of it by bart. if u get o8 going, sooner or later you're gonna have the OE mix. it will be such a huge promo for split pot games because people will get to see how terrible everybody plays and think "DAMN I GOTTA LEARN THIS GAME!"

you know it makes sense.
Marie-Lizette the problem is the software cant understand two winners.. one for low and one for hi.. she said they are working on it and hope to have it soon. I would love to play PLO8

So after him saying he had a flush didnt make me fold, he bumped it up to a full house.. So I figured why not ask him to show a card? The worst that could happen is he would say no. So he pushed his cards foward with one hand on one card so I ask to see the other one. Thats why my finger motioned twice..

Now normally I dont like talking in the hand but I figured since he was trying to make me fold with his talk, I might as well see if I could get some information out of him. I was honestly stunned when I saw the J and I had to just think a moment .. Then I called...

Playing him oop is not a good idea and wouldnt recommend it. If possible sit on his left.. But once I saw him I told myself I would just raise normal preflop but basically only value bet.. and hold on!

Thanks Dave.. I must say that I couldnt have imagined the difference in my game since I got myself a coach and watching latb, you, crush live poker and Bart's podcast. I honestly think that I was playing blind and now I see.

These concepts seem so simple but they take a lot of hard work and I think most recreational players just wont put in the time.

I Putting myself on latb is a great incentive to continue to get better since no one wants to look like an idiot on TV Its a great show and I hope you guys and continue to keep doing it forever..

Just get the software programmed right so we can play PLO8!

5-5 blinds with a $5 ante. Should play pretty big.

Here's a question for all of you...How should your game change when playing in this type of game? what do you think would be most profitable...

Have you guys ever thought of getting rid of the Mississippi straddle since it makes it hard to follow the action? Love the show.

I've mentioned it...I'm not a fan of it. Think it is bad for the game period.

What's the game tonight?

I would have loved to see the $5/5 w/$5 ante get going. Seeing $5-6k pots at those stakes was crazy, especially short-handed.

Put me down in the LHE-FTW camp. If you love the game, then following along is super easy. I actually find full-ring nlh boring as hell sometimes.

Can't believe nobody brought up the last huge pot:

no need for the spoilers here...but you are totally right. The Call down with AA was beyond razor thin. The head games that Harry played all night finally paid off when he flopped a big hand.

Gavin bought into it and wasn't going to fold regardless...He just had it in his mind that Harry was bluffing no matter what.

easy for us, obviously...but I'm wit you. It didn't look like a bluff.

on the other hand, who am I to talk. I played 5-10 later that night and paid off "Beavis" big on the river when I didn't believe...to his credit, he played the hand well and I'm a frigg'in donkey?!?

I watched it live and it looked like to me that Gavin got his ego involved rather than looking at the betting action (live tell) and Harry's demenor. I look alot at whether a player looks comfortable. and harry really did. Besides every other play he was making were much bigger bets. all ins with nothing but min raises with the nuts? Seems like he would have a hand there.

But to Gavins credit. I dont play 5/10 and havent played with Harry or Danny much so who am I to say ?

does limit o8 play as fast as limit holdem? Then I can see the problem. Although Bart is good at o8.

Honestly, it would be nice to see something besides Holdem. Maybe with the Green tourney thingy going on, they can get a plo game going.

Re: Live at the Bike 2012 thread

Would be great to see another PLO game going. They should take the 300-500 PLO that the bike spreads sometimes and give it the LATB treatment, namely, make it 300-100. That should make the game much more interesting. IMO short stacked PLO is really boring, just a bunch of flips
